Meghan facing ban from King’s coronation

King Charles III reportedly has a red line that, if crossed, would see Prince Harry and Meghan Markle uninvited from his coronation.

Brits will be 'thrilled' if Meghan and Harry 'won't be able to attend' King's coronation

An attack on Camilla, Queen Consort, in Prince Harry’s upcoming memoir would “no doubt” see the House of Sussex uninvited from the coronation of King Charles III, according to palace insiders.

Quoting a friend of the new Queen Consort, The Daily Beast reported that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would not be on the guest list if they cross that red line in their upcoming book.

“It is one thing for Harry to attack Charles, he can take it on the chin, but if Harry forces him to choose, by laying into Camilla in his book, I have no doubt he will choose Camilla,” a source told the outlet.

The memoir is expected to be released around Easter, close to the May 6 coronation being held on the same day as the birthday of Harry’s son, Archie.

Royal biographer Tom Bower recently told The New York Post that the Royal household was extremely nervous about the upcoming “time bomb”, which he said will feature a new chapter on the Queen’s passing and funeral.

Another insider told The Daily Beast that the guest list for the coronation is “TBC”, leaving the door open for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to be invited or excluded from the coronation.

While the couple has been unrelenting in their commentary about the Royal family, they have so far not made Camilla a major focus of their public grievances.

“Almost everything Charles has done over the past twenty years has, in one way or another, been about getting Camilla accepted by the public,” the Queen Consort’s friend said.

“He loves her. He is incredibly protective of her and he couldn’t do it without her. Even the queen finally accepted that.”

Buckingham Palace announced this week that the King and Camilla will be officially crowned on May 6 at Westminster Abbey, where British monarchs have taken the throne for the past 900 years.

“The Coronation will reflect the monarch’s role today and look towards the future, while being rooted in longstanding traditions and pageantry,” the palace said in a statement.

The major milestone falling on Archie’s birthday comes after the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee weekend fell on the first birthday of their daughter, Lilibet in June.
