Meghan, Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry are heading to Africa for their first official tour
Buckingham Palace has confirmed that Meghan and Harry will travel to South Africa as their first official tour — and they’ll be taking baby Archie with them, too.

Prince Harry and Meghan are heading to Africa for their first official tour since the arrival of baby Archie, Buckingham Palace have confirmed overnight (this afternoon local time).
The royal couple will head to South Africa and there are reports they will take their newborn too.
Prince Harry will separately visit Botswana, Angola and Malawi during the tour.
“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will undertake an official visit to South Africa this (European) Autumn at the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office,” according to a statement.
“In addition, The Duke of Sussex will visit Angola and Malawi at the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
“His Royal Highness will also undertake a working visit to Botswana while in the region.”
Full details will be advised at a later date.
There has been wide reports that Harry and Meghan would visit Africa, with some reports they would be based there for up to several months a year.
A plan for Harry to be Australia’s Governor-general was discussed and the quickly dumped.
The royal couple have been branching out on their own.
They moved to Frogmore Cottage, away from Prince William and Kate and have set up their own charity.
Archie was born in May but has only been pictured twice.
His involvement in the tour would increase the attention it received.
