Lisa Marie Presley is reportedly on life support after going into cardiac arrest on Thursday, local time.
According to TMZ, the 54-year-old’s condition is “critical.”
She is in an induced coma and was given a temporary pacemaker, per the outlet, as she remains in the Intensive Care Unit.
Emergency workers responded to a call reporting a possible cardiac arrest at Presley’s California home, and upon arrival performed CPR, TMZ reported.
The outlet also claims that Presley’s housekeeper had earlier found her unresponsive in her bedroom, and it was her ex-husband, Danny Keough - with whom she lives - who performed CPR until paramedics arrived.
According to TMZ, Presley went into “full arrest” and that someone administered epinephrine - adrenaline medication - at the scene at least once in order to help her regain a pulse. She was then transported to hospital.
The 54-year-old’s condition remains unclear.
A rep for Presley had no comment.
Just hours after the news broke, her mother, Priscilla Presley, released a statement asking for privacy.
“My beloved daughter Lisa Marie was rushed to the hospital. She is now receiving the best care. Please keep her and our family in your prayers,” she told People magazine.
“We feel the prayers from around the world and ask for privacy at this time.”
Priscilla, 77, was pictured on Thursday afternoon walking into the hospital to be by her daughter’s bedside.
Both Presley women were just seen at the Golden Globes on Tuesday night, where they watched Austin Butler win for his portrayal of The King in the eponymous biopic.
During Butler’s speech, which made headlines over the fact that he spoke still using Elvis’ signature Southern drawl, he paid tribute to both Elvis’ widow and their daughter.
“The Presley family, thank you guys for opening your hearts, your memories, your home to me,” he told the Tennessee natives. “Lisa Marie and Priscilla, I love you forever.”
The mother and daughter both appeared visibly emotional throughout the oration. (Elvis passed away in 1977 from a heart attack at age 42.)
Presley owned and operated Elvis Presley Enterprises until 2005, when she sold off the entire portfolio of businesses; however, she remains the owner of Graceland, Elvis’ famed Memphis estate.
The singer and songwriter has four children: actress Riley Keough and Benjamin with ex-husband Danny Keough, as well as twin daughters Harper and Finley, whom she shares with ex Michael Lockwood.
Benjamin died by suicide in July 2020. He was 27.
