KIM Kardashian West is heading to Australia next month.
The thrice-married 33-year-old star will visit Australian shores to celebrate the launch of the Kardashian Kollection for the coming spring. And yes, that is Kollection with a ‘K’.
Since the Kardashian family have become a fixture in modern day popular culture (Kim has a cool 20 million Twitter followers) sales of their fashion and accessory collections have gone through the roof with the three Kardashian sisters banding together to create fashion lines as well as doing their own thing in fashion land.
With an estimated worth of $45 million the Kim Kardashian name is one of the most polarising in celebrity circles.
But, since her marriage to rapper Kanye West and the birth of baby North 14 months ago some say a degree of street cred has enshrined the curvaceous beauty, whose penchant for designer labels has even impressed the usually unimpressionable US Vogue editor, Anna Wintour.
Ms Wintour put the couple on the cover of April Vogue in a magazine move that thrilled fans but disappointed some style diehards.
Ironically, the issue sold over 500,000 hard copies, beating both Beyoncé and Michelle Obama. Digital sales would have easily doubled if not trebled that figure.
It was also the first Vogue cover to feature a hashtag aptly called #worldsmosttalkedaboutcouple.
The visit of Mrs West to Australia will include a chance for Kim’s fans to meet the reality juggernaut at the Sydney shopping mall, Westfield Parramatta.
But here’s the catch.
Kim will greet and sign photos for the first 200 shoppers in-line that make a Kardashian Kollection purchase from any one of their stockists between Tuesday, 26th August and Saturday, 13th September.
According to the media spiel, the Kardashian Kollection in Australia ‘offers on-trend styles in ready-to-wear apparel, jewellery, sunglasses, handbags, hosiery, denim and shoes for women, as well as the newly released Kardashian Essentials range of shapewear, hosiery and sunglasses in Woolworths stores nationally’. Each piece is designed with Kourtney, Kim and Khloé Kardashian’s body shapes and styles in mind ensuring there are pieces for women of all shapes and sizes.
Some of the Kardashian Kollection’s other stockists include Strandbag, David Jones, Priceline and Betts.
So yes, Australia, you have been warned, the Kardashian circus is definitely coming to town.
