KATIE Holmes might be taking this whole streetwear thing too far.
Weeks after she showed off an understandable affinity for comfortable white sneakers, the actress, 36, hit the streets of Manhattan in a pair of outlandish red cheetah-print leggings.
While the leggings wouldn’t be out of place at SoulCycle, they didn’t quite gel with her denim shirt, star-adorned silver backpack and striking black and gold stilettos.
Granted, the typically stylish actress has shown a willingness to experiment with her outfits before. Earlier this year, she talked up her love of menswear.
“I really love the colours for women that will be coming out for the fall, but I have to admit that I do love to wear men’s pieces,” she said during Fashion Week in February. “Long men’s trenches are the way to go ... I have long arms, so they reach the length of my body better than a women’s coat can.”
It’s unclear whether this latest bit of fashion daring will go over as well as that one. What is clear, though, is that Holmes likes her Adidas. Both her beloved kicks and her shocking pants are made by the German sneaker giant.
