Kate Middleton has stepped out in a stunning hot pink evening gown for an official royal engagement in Belize.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge embarked on the first leg of their official tour of the Caribbean last week, in which they’re also set to visit Jamaica and The Bahamas.

After a day spent enduring a survival class in the Belizian jungle, the 40-year-old mother-of-three slipped into something a little more fancy for a special reception hosted by the Governor General of Belize, in honour of the Queen’s Platinum jubilee.

Kate was glowing as she stepped out at the event, wearing a sparkling $4500 hot pink gown by British designer, The Vampire’s Wife, whose clothes she has worn before.

The future Queen styled her brunette hair sleek and straight, as she accessorised with silver heels, oversized disc earrings and an envelope clutch.

Prince William made a speech at the event – in which he condemned Russian conflict in Ukraine.

He also revealed a cheeky little anecdote about the couple’s eldest son, eight-year-old Prince George, who has remained home in the UK.

“We let them (the kids) know where we are and he (George) finds us on the map and puts a pin in it and shares with the others,” William shared.

The Cambridge’s Caribbean tour comes amid outcry in Jamaica ahead of their visit on Tuesday.

A coalition of Jamaican human rights and equality activists have called on the Queen and the UK government to apologise for the ramifications of colonialism and chattel slavery the British Empire inflicted on Caribbean countries.

An open letter has been signed by prominent politicians, business leaders, doctors and musicians, and a protest outside the British High Commission has also been planned by the organiser group, the Advocates Network.

“We note with great concern your visit to our country, Jamaica, during a period when we are still in the throes of a global pandemic and bracing for the full impact of another global crisis associated with the Russian/Ukraine war,” the letter reads.

“We see no reason to celebrate 70 years of the ascension of your grandmother to the British throne because her leadership, and that of her predecessors, has perpetuated the greatest human rights tragedy in the history of humankind.”
