Female celebrities honoured at Elle Style awards

KATE Winslet, Miranda Kerr, Amy Schumer and Carey Mulligan were among a number of stars who stunned at the Women in Hollywood Awards.

KATE Winslet, Miranda Kerr, Salma Hayek and Carey Mulligan were among a number of stars honoured at Elle magazine’s Women in Hollywood Awards.

Their careers were celebrated at the 22nd annual ceremony, hosted by Joel McHale at the Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles on Monday.

Other notable personalities honoured were Amy Schumer, Alicia Vikander, Dakota Johnson and director Ava DuVernay.

Each individual was introduced by their close friends or co-stars.

Model Miranda Kerr went for an unusual bralette and belt combo.

Actress Salma Hayek wore a stunning gold number.

Winslet was presented with her award by her Divergent co-star Shailene Woodley, and new mum Mulligan received hers from fellow Suffragette star Meryl Streep.

Hayek was honoured by Zoe Saldana, and Mary J Blige paid tribute to Selma moviemaker DuVernay.

Fifty Shades of Grey actress Johnson was supported by her mother Melanie Griffith, grandmother Tippi Hedren, and sister Stella, and other guests included Lena Dunham, Nina Dobrev, Nikki Reed, Miranda Kerr and Zoe Kravitz.

Each of the honourees star on their own cover of magazine’s Women in Hollywood issue.
