Meghan Markle’s ‘victims’ to come forward in new book by investigative journalist Tom Bower

A number of Meghan Markle’s “victims” are set to make explosive claims in a new book that details her rise “from nothing” to global fame.

Meghan Markle “came from nothing and trampled on others” to get to the top like a politician, her royal biographer has revealed ahead of his tell-all book.

The explosive claims, which will be told in a new book by investigative journalist Tom Bower, will feature stories from “victims” of the Duchess of Sussex.

Speaking to GB News, Mr Bower claimed the book will contain “extraordinary information” about the 40-year-old royal, who lives in a $14m mansion in Montecito with Prince Harry, 37, and their children Archie, three, and Lilibet, 11 months.

When asked by GB News host, Mark Dolan, about his book, Mr Bower said: “Well, in fact, I've finished it and it will be out very soon.

“It is a story, an untold story. I have found out things which are really quite extraordinary about her.

“And I think that the public perception of her will be either confirmed or outraged, or in any case, it‘ll be a great surprise.”

He went on: “It has turned out to be … a very, very hard slog because people were pretty reluctant to speak and she and her lawyers had done very well to keep people silent, but I got through [to] enough.

“And it’s a great story. It is an astonishing story of a woman who came from nothing and is now a world figure and has trampled on all those others on the way which is classic for the sort of people I always choose, whether it’s a politician or a tycoon.“

The Duke and Duchess have often flaunted their union as that of a wealthy prince meeting a woman from humble beginnings, despite the fact that Meghan often enjoyed luxuries as a kid with her estranged father, Thomas Markle.

Her father is an Emmy award-winning lighting director and she was educated at private school from kindergarten including the $16,000-a-year private Immaculate Heart High School – all paid for by Mr Markle's salary and his state lottery win.

MEGHAN ON HUNT FOR NEW TV HOME FOLLOWING ANIMATION AXE

Meghan Markle is on the hunt to find a new TV broadcaster for her cartoon series after it was axed by Netflix.

The show called Pearl, was created by the Duchess of Sussex through Archewell Productions and was in the development stage.

The series – which followed the story of a 12-year-old girl exploring famous women in history – was set to be the production company’s first animated series.

However, it was binned amid cutbacks after a collapse in subscribers to the streaming service.

But LA insiders have told The Sun that the 40-year-old and her team at production company Archewell do not see the Netflix dump as the end of the road.

According to sources, Meghan and executive producer David Furnish “are reviewing the project to see where else it could find a home” and will be pitching the series concept to other TV networks and streamers including Apple and Amazon.

The Duke And Duchess Of Sussex’s contract with Netflix allows the couple to sell on any products that the streaming platform turns down.

“Meghan and Harry will not give up on taking Pearl to the screen,” a source told The Sun.

“They are determined to not let all the work and creative endeavours put into the idea simply fall away.

“Netflix has a standard deal with them, typical in Hollywood, allowing them to pitch projects rejected by them to other outlets. This is common practice within TV circles in Hollywood.

“Apple and Harry already have ties after he appeared on a series about mental health. Disney, whose Plus streaming service is huge, has a relationship with Markle too after she voiced a wildlife documentary.

“Amazon has a significant budget and major players like NBC Universal and HBO would be interested to sit down in front of the Sussexes. You cannot underestimate the interest in them from Hollywood and producers around town.”

Another source added: “They are not giving up on this project because Netflix said no. David is a respected producer with an enviable contacts book.

“Obviously like all these type of projects, the commissioning network has their input and desires for what they want to see. So usually there is a lot of negotiations and discussions in the commissioning process.

“Nobody can expect to turn up, say this is what it is and then get money. It doesn‘t work like that. It never has.

“So it is always a tricky balancing act of getting your project made, while often bowing to the network. That can be tough for some creatives, who hate diverging from their vision.

MEGHAN DISCREETLY DELETES EMBARRASSING POST

On Monday it emerged that Meghan had wiped out all references to the upcoming animated television series after it was quietly dumped.

A prior description of the series under the Archewell Productions subsection was nowhere to be found on Sunday.

With Meghan as the executive producer, the highly-anticipated show was being worked alongside her husband Prince Harry and Elton John’s other half, David Furnish.

Announcing the launch last summer, Meghan said: “Like many girls her age, our heroine Pearl is on a journey of self-discovery as she tries to overcome life’s daily challenges.

“I’m thrilled that Archewell Productions, partnered with the powerhouse platform of Netflix and these incredible producers, will together bring you this new animated series, which celebrates extraordinary women throughout history.”

Now, the Archewell website features the Duchess’ sole active media project, ‘Heart of Invictus,’ a docu-series about competitors on their journey to the Invictus Games in The Hague in 2020.

It will be Meghan’s and Harry’s second attempt within a week to salvage their status, after the Queen banned the couple from appearing at the palace’s balcony for Trooping the Colour, which will mark the start of the Jubilee commemorations.

Shortly after the snub, the Sussexes revealed in a tweet via their friend and journalist Omid Scobie that they will still fly in from California -with Archie, three, and Lilibet, 11 months — for the events to mark the monarch’s 70 years on the throne that begin on June 2.

However, a team of palace aides will be put in place to stop the Netflix crew from filming inside the palace for any of the documentary about the couple's lives.

They do not want the celebrations to be “exploited” by the production team, after the couple signed their nearly $200 million deal in September 2020.

“While the family are delighted Harry and Meghan are coming, there is a real fear of tension, especially over any Netflix crew. There are concerns tension could explode if the Netflix team comes to the UK and tries to exploit their opportunities,” a source told The Sun.

“The worry is they will push it and try to gain access to areas of Jubilee celebration events where they can film Harry and Meghan and their children.

“Even if they accept that their Netflix crew can’t go into Buckingham Palace to film, they could cause problems – and at the very least cause a major distraction.

“Senior courtiers believe that Netflix will see it as one big opportunity to exploit their mega-millions agreement with the couple.”

MEGHAN’S SPECIAL DAY

Meghan Markle will be celebrating Mother’s Day today for the first time as a mother of two.

Sunday May 8 is Mother’s Day in the US, and Harry, 37, and Meghan, 40, are thought to be doing something special to mark this year’s parenting milestone.

It comes shortly after the couple announced on Friday, local time, they would be attending the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with their children — minutes after the Queen barred them from the Palace balcony for the Trooping the Colour ceremony.

The family chose to spend Mother’s Day in the US privately last year, and Harry and Meghan made a public donation to charitable organisation Harvest Home.

Yesterday, Prince Harry was seen baring his chest on the polo field for the first time since the Queen banned him from the Jubilee balcony celebrations.

The Duke of Sussex flashed his torso as he played the sport yesterday in Santa Barbara, California, which is near the couple’s home.

Harry showed off his pecs and abs on the polo pitch ahead of his game on Archie’s third birthday yesterday.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who have been enjoying life as a family of four at their multimillion dollar Montecito, California mansion, will travel for the first time to the UK with children Archie, three, and Lilibet, 11 months, for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee next month.

According to The Sun Meghan’s Mother’s Day plans will likely be based in Montecito as the royal couple are expected to rub shoulders with Kate Middleton and Prince William at the thanksgiving event at St Paul’s Cathedral on June 3.

The Fab Four were last seen together publicly in March 2020, at Westminster Abbey.

It comes as Meghan quietly removed all references to her Netflix series Pearl after it was dropped from the streaming platform.

The show, created by the Duchess of Sussex through Archewell Productions, was in the development stage when it was dramatically dumped by Netflix.

Pearl – which followed the story of a 12-year-old girl exploring famous women in history – was set to be the streaming service’s first animated series.

And now Meghan has wiped all references to her abandoned show from the Archewell website.

Under the subsection Archewell Productions, there was previously a description of the upcoming show – along with a lengthy quote from Meghan herself.
