THE Duchess of Cambridge continues to set the world abuzz with her sartorial choices.

The savvy and stylish royal has treated us with multiple costume changes a day as she, husband William and son George have toured New Zealand and Australia.

Melbourne stylist Jo Blankfield said Kate’s style is easy to imitate for the average Aussie girl.

“I have no doubt if Kate went shopping in Australia she would be buying up big at Portmans, Cue and Forever New,” she said.

Famous for recycling the same clothes, the Duchess is also privy to multiple fashion pieces in similar styles, colours and silhouettes such as her much admired red coats, yellow dresses and wrap dresses.

“Kate has a very straight forward style,” Blankfield said.

“She opts for classic and structured pieces with a slight contemporary twist.”

Sydney: Sunny and sophisticated

The pencil skirt dress Kate wore to arrive in Sydney is one of her sleekest choices. The white accents made the gaudy hue more sophisticated while the cut and hem length kept the style elegant.

Kate has always been partial to the classic Diane Von Furstenberg wrap dresses, and this silhouette was perfect for the relaxed setting on the Duchess’ second day in Australia

Christchurch: Lady in red

With a frugal knack for being cost-per-wear-aware and famous for recycling her ensembles, Kate has cemented her position as a modern day style icon and great bellwether of style. The Duchess first wore this bold red twin-suit three years ago during a visit to St Andrews, but updated the look by ditching the heavy black skivvy.

Dunedin: Aquamarine dream

Kate looked radiant in this box-pleated, aquamarine dress by Auckland-born designer Emillia Wickstead. It was also the first time on the tour she had chosen to wear a New Zealand designer. Paired with a Jane Taylor hat, it was a traditional and regal look.

Cambridge: Green with envy

Jewel tones have been popular on the runway this season and Kate translated the trend flawlessly in this emerald green Erdem coat.

Blenheim: Bold in blue

With her much envied brunette tresses pulled back, Kate once again stole the sartorial spotlight in this bespoke powdered blue coat by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, the same designer that created her show stopping wedding gown.
