Diane Kruger looks painfully thin on red carpet

THE star has always been slight, but her appearance on a red carpet this week has shocked some.

ACTRESS Diane Kruger has raised eyebrows with her thin frame at a Paris film premiere this week.

The always-slender star appeared glamorous but even thinner than usual, clad in a chiffon Hugo Boss dress which showed off her arms and back.

The 39-year-old former model, who has been in a relationship with fellow actor Joshua Jackson for a decade, was attending the premiere of her new film Sky, a French-German drama about a woman, played by Kruger, who kills her husband while on holiday.

Kruger has addressed talk about her thin frame in the past, explaining that she sometimes ‘forgets to eat’.

“I do watch what I eat, but not for weight reasons,” she has said. “It will sound really pretentious, but when I am really busy I will forget to eat. I try and avoid all processed food, too.”

The Inglorious Basterds actress also says she avoids the gym, preferring to exercise outdoors:

“I only dance when I go out. For exercise, I tend to like the outdoors. In Paris, I rent a bike in the street and cycle around, and in L.A. I live up in the hills, so I go hiking a lot. I like to stay fit by being generally active.”
