Bernard Tomic says sorry to ‘wife’ Vanessa Sierra after she reported him to police after tantrum

The saga between tennis bad boy Bernard Tomic and his glamorous lover Vanessa Sierra has taken an unexpected turn.

Bernard Tomic has said “sorry” to his “wife” Vanessa Sierra after she reported him to Croatian police over allegations he caused $15,000 damage to her belongings.

Sierra made the report to police in the seaside resort town of Split, where she has been staying in a $1300 a night villa.

It comes after she posted videos of the tennis star smashing her laptop computer, which she claimed had stopped her from doing her job as a model on adult website OnlyFans.

“We can confirm that police are investigating the case after we received a report from the woman who claimed her belongings had been destroyed,” Split police spokesman Jerko Kurevija told News Corp Australia, according to a translation.

This newspaper is not suggesting that Tomic, 28, has committed an offence, only that a complaint has been lodged.

Police in Split were unable to reveal further details about the investigation.

Shortly after News Corp published reports of the police complaint, Tomic issued a statement on his Instagram page, begging to make up.

“Shouldn’t have broken her stuff I don’t know what came over me,” he wrote on a picture of the couple together.

“My ego too big but I’m going to drop it for you. So sorry wife. Please let’s make things right. Love you.”

Sierra had also claimed that she had also lost access to $500,000 in crypto currency because of the damage to the laptop.

There have been questions about whether the couple were still together following Sierra’s post of a video that showed Tomic and the damaged laptop.

He had hit back at her public comments this week saying he did not care and was “recounting his millions”.

There have been reports that the couple were staying at the Cornaro Hotel in Split but staff there claimed that they were no longer there.

The hotel has a rooftop bar with spectacular views of the town.

The couple have also not been seen at the local tennis club, according to sources on the ground.

“Bernard seems to be a nice and easy approachable guy. He was friendly to all the guys at the club,” Sven Maretic said at the Split Tennis Club on Friday.

Locals in Croatia said that Sierra had been seen at the Briig Hotel in Split this week.

Comedian Dave Hughes apologised on his radio show this week for saying that Tomic and Sierra had broken up.

But Hughes told his audience that he was incorrect to say they had broken up.

The pair had unfollowed each other on Instagram.

Sierra, 27, has been updating her Instagram account, which has more than 429,000 followers.

The bikini clad model posted a video of herself jumping over a rock on a beach this week.

“What I do when life brings me obstacles,” she captioned the video.

Tomic and Sierra starred off the court during the lead up to the Australian Open when they posted images of themselves in hotel quarantine.

Sierra complained about the strict conditions, including that she had to wash her own hair.

Tomic, who was once one of Australia’s most promising tennis players, earlier this year claimed that Sierra was his coach.

Sierra did not respond to a request for comment.
