CHRIS and Rebecca Judd have welcomed their second child - a baby girl.

Billie Kate Judd was born at 12.15pm on Saturday, weighing a healthy 3.3kgs or 7 lbs 4oz.

Billie is the first daughter for Carlton footballer Chris and wife Rebecca, who have a son Oscar, 2.

Rebecca, a speech pathologist turned model, blogger and television presenter, told the world the happy news via Instagram.

The picture of Billie's pink birth card was captioned "Princess Time'' and was quickly greeted with messages of congratulations from friends and fans.

A photo of mother and child, both dressed in grey was added to Rebecca and Chris' Instagram accounts shortly after 8pm, simply captioned, 'My Girl'.

The baby, which Rebecca had tipped would be a girl, made a slightly early entry into the world - a week before her official due date.

Writing on her blog on January 28, Rebecca wrote she was praying that the baby would come early.

"My obstetrician said 'if your baby was any lower in your pelvis it would be out. It could not be any more engaged than it is','' she said.

"The sooner the better. Going to the toilet every 15 minutes is really doing my head in."

Rebecca added that she wanted to have an epidural like she did with son Oscar.

"We don't have a judging panel a la Dancing with the Stars holding up scores out of ten after we deliver," she wrote.

It's not a competition. The only thing that matters is the safe arrival of our gorgeous babies and that the mum is in good health. It shouldn't matter what the birth 'process' is.

"I loved my epidural, it allowed me to enjoy the birth and take it all in. God help me if I don't make it in time to get one.

"My advice to those about to give birth for the first time? Do whatever the bloody hell YOU want.''
