WHAT is it about reality TV and legal troubles?

This week alone two Australian wannabe stars hit the headlines accused of serious criminal matters.

Today, former Bachelor contestant Georgia Tripos has been charged with allegedly running a drug syndicate.

And yesterday Married At First Sight’s former starLachlan McAleer fronted court to defend a domestic violence matter.

Over the years this strange breed of famous have been accused of some crazy things that have landed them in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons.

Here’s some of Australia’s reality TV stars that have had trouble with the law.

THE BACHELOR’S GEORGIA TRIPOS

The 25-year-old — who appeared on the most recent season of The Bachelor with Richie Strahan — is accused of running an alleged syndicate with a friend to traffic amphetamine and cocaine and selling them on Craigslist, Nine News reports.

Police released a statement detailing the arrest of two women who were allegedly found “with a large quantity of drugs” in Melbourne’s southeast on Wednesday afternoon.

“Both were charged with traffic cocaine, traffic commercial quantity of amphetamine, possess money being proceeds of crime, possess cocaine and possess amphetamine,” the statement read.

Tripos infamously went rogue during a back seat rant after getting booted from The Bachelorlast year, taking aim at the show’s producers.

“Who the f*** are they? Like ...” Ms Tripos huffed in the back of the car after she didn’t receive a rose from Richie Strahan.

“They all look like f***ing skanks,” she spat, referring to the three intruders who were picked over her.

MARRIED AT FIRST SIGHT’S LACHLAN MCALEER

Also known as Lachlan Rofe, the former MAFS and Farmer Wants a Wife ‘star’yesterday appeared in court accused of choking his former partner.

Kasey Williams claimed McAleer, who has been charged with common assault, attacked her in front of her two-year-old daughter late last year at his property in Cawdor, in Sydney’s southwest.

The court heard on Wednesday McAleer consumed a whole case of beer during the day before screaming at Ms Williams and then chasing her through the house and grabbing her by the neck.

McAleer’s lawyers deny the allegations and claimed Ms Williams became “extremely jealous” when he received romantic messages from his fans on his Facebook page.

The matter returns to court in July.

IDOL RUNNER-UP SHANNON NOLL

The 41-year-old was arrested and charged over the assault of a bouncer in January this year outside the Crazy Horse Revue in Adelaide’s CBD.

The What About Me singer, who was in SA to perform at Mannum’s Sounds By The River music festival, was involved in an altercation outside Hindley St’s Crazy Horse Revue about 2.30am, reported The Adelaide Advertiser.

Alastair Longmuir, 19, of Payneham South was waiting to enter the strip club when Noll was being forcibly removed from the venue by security guards.

“They brought out this intoxicated man and I was like, that’s Shannon Noll,” he said.

“He was intoxicated and screaming. He kept saying ‘I’m Shannon Noll, let me back in’.”

Noll allegedly punched a security guard and was taken away by police in a paddy wagon.

It took about three security guards and four policemen to restrain Noll — who was by himself — before he was removed from the premises.

Noll was charged with two counts of assault and bailed while the case continues.

He showed his own sense of humour recently, posting a Facebook photo of himself behind bars at the Old Mt Gambier Gaol during a visit to South Australia’s southeast.

FORMER X FACTOR HOST LUKE JACOBZ

The former X Factor host was dubbed a “serial offender” after pleading guilty of his second drink driving offence in 10 years.

Jacobz, who has also appeared as a cop in Home and Away, returned a blood-alcohol reading of .116 when police pulled him over for a random test in Sydney on May 21, 2015.

He lost his licence for a year and was fined $700.

Magistrate Alexander Majovich noted it was the second offence of this kind for Jacobz, who was also caught drink driving a decade ago.

“I couldn’t be more regretful and apologetic,” the X Factor host said in a statement.

“My decision to drive my car the morning after a late dinner with friends is a wake-up call for me that the effects of alcohol stay in our bodies longer than we realise.”

FORMER X FACTOR WINNER, JOHHNY RUFFO

Johnny Ruffo, who was on The X Factor and Home and Away, was disqualified from driving for two years and fined more than $3000 for a string of offences including driving while his licence was cancelled in February last year.

Ruffo pleaded guilty in January to driving an unregistered and uninsured white Audi S5 through Sydney’s CBD in September last year.

The 27-year-old was also charged with not notifying the Roads and Maritime Service of a change in his address, and not paying taxes on his vehicle.

Deputy Chief Magistrate Jane Mottley said Ruffo could have avoided his legal troubles if he simply paid closer attention to correspondence from the RMS.

“But it’s all too little, too late,” Ms Mottley said.

“Fundamentally, you are the architect of your own outcomes.”

Ms Mottley fined Ruffo $1100 for driving while disqualified and disqualified him from driving for 12 months.

She also fined Ruffo a combined $1100 for driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle.

A conviction was recorded for failing to pay taxes and for failing to notify the RMS of the change in address.

Ruffo was also fined $880 for an earlier driving while disqualified charge in February 2015, and disqualified from driving for an additional 12 months.

In total Ruffo was fined $3080 and disqualified from driving for two years.
