KELLY Bell’s friends claim her celebrity accountant husband Anthony hardly spends any time with their children. But that’s not what she has said.
Following their bitter bust-up this week, in comments published for the first time today it can be revealed the former model and TV presenter said her husband “made a lot of time” for her and their family after she was diagnosed with a life-threatening heart condition.

On Thursday Mrs Bell was successful in obtaining an AVO against Mr Bell, with his lawyer telling a court hearing he never wants to see her again.
But in a 2015 interview she said her husband had “made adjustments and change” to his work-life balance to make “a lot of time” when it emerged she had a rare genetic disease — left ventricular non-compaction.
The condition was diagnosed while she was carrying their firstborn, Charlize, now 5. The couple had a second daughter, Thea, in 2014.
In comments that have not previously been published, Mrs Bell joked that her husband had taken “shares in the Prince of Wales carpark” because of all the time he spent there when she was hospitalised.

And he had “very quietly” adjusted the amount of time he devoted to his successful accountancy business, Bell Partners, she said, to make more time for his family.
Mr Bell’s lawyer Chris Murphy made stunning, stinging attacks on Mrs Bell during the AVO hearing at Waverley Local Court on Thursday, alleging that she had a drinking problem and “celebrity deprivation”.
But Mr Bell has been largely silent.
“I can’t participate in anything that is going to torture my little girls any more than they have already been subjected to,” Mr Bell told The Sunday Telegraph.
While Mr Bell’s support for his wife’s welfare was unwavering, he was not so resolute when it came to her plans for a parenting advice website.
It’s understood that while he backed her plan publicly, privately he did not think it could succeed as a business.
In the 2015 interview, Mrs Bell said: “I’d like (the site) to be ... a collator of opinions, kind of like a broker of advice. I’d like to roll it out by the end of the year.”
But it is not known if it ever came into being.
