A viral clip of Liam Payne dancing is being seen in a whole new light after his tragic death.

Video shows Liam dancing with fans in final days

The response to a clip of Liam Payne dancing at his former bandmate Niall Horan’s show has drastically changed since his tragic death.

The 31-year-old’s death shocked the world when it was reported on Thursday that he had fallen off a third-floor balcony at a hotel in Argentina. He died from haemorrhaging.

This was just moments after a staff member had called emergency services, claiming that the former One Direction star was behaving erratically and “breaking” his room.

Just weeks before his death, Payne, 31, was mocked for his bold dancing at one of Horan’s Argentinian shows. Payne attended the show with his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy.

Afterwards, videos circulated online of Payne cutting loose in a corporate box, dancing and seemingly performing for nearby fans, who were screaming in response.

At one point, Payne was performing the dance moves to the Macarena when a security guard approached him. He continued dancing and didn’t acknowledge the guard properly until he was finished busting a move.

He was also seen throwing his hands in the air, seemingly encouraging the fans screams and cheer as he danced away.

When the videos started circulating online and amassed millions of views, people weren’t impressed with Payne’s antics.

People online called his performance “painful” and said he was trying to “relieve the glory days” as he enjoyed the crowd’s attention.

One claimed Payne was trying to make Horan’s show “all about” him, and someone else wrote that the clip gave them “second (hand) embarrassment”

Multiple videos of Payne dancing circulated online at once, and while some fans stuck up for him, the online response wasn’t overly friendly.

Now that Payne has died, the videos are circulating online again and showing up in people’s algorithms as his name trends around the world.

The response to the clips has drastically changed overnight, and people are calling out how “mean” the original initial response was.

“Crazy how people were so mean and now he is gone,” one wrote.

“Seeing this after the news,” someone else noted.

“Everyone who hated him are now saying they love him,” another pointed out.

“I remember seeing these days ago that people were so rude in the comments,” one argued.

“They could never make me hate you, Liam Payne,” one fan wrote.

One Direction have also released a heartbreaking statement following his tragic death sharing they are “completely devastated”.

In a group statement posted to social media on Friday morning, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson shared their grief.

“We’re completely devastated by the news of Liam’s passing. In time, and when everyone is able to, there will be more to say.”

“But for now, we will take some time to grieve and process the loss of our brother, who we loved dearly.

“The memories we shared with him will be treasured forever. For now, our thoughts are with his family, his friends, and the fans who loved him alongside us. We will miss him terribly. We love you Liam.”
