The beloved royal flashed a smile at photographers just a day after a magazine printed pictures of her husband and a Mexican actress.

Princess Mary put on a brave face yesterday after being seen with her husband Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark for the first time since he faced affair accusations.

The royal couple stepped out on Wednesday in Copenhagen to mark Spanish King Felipe and Queen Letizia’s three-day state visit.

The duo were snapped alongside the Spanish royals and were joined by Frederik’s mother Queen Margrethe and his aunt Princess Benedikte.

They were photographed arriving at the Glyptoteket Museum and the Danish Architecture Centre together, with Mary seen smiling as she arrived despite rumours of an affair hitting headlines.

Reports first emerged after Spanish magazine Lecturas shared photos of Frederik and Mexican model Genoveva Casanova, 47, attending a Pablo Picasso exhibition in Madrid last week.

They were also photographed out and about in the city together.

The socialite has since “flatly denied” all accusations regarding an alleged affair.

“I flatly deny the statements that suggest a romantic relationship between Prince Frederick and me,” the model told Spanish magazine Hola!

“Any statement of this type is not only completely untrue but also distorts the facts in a malicious manner.”

Casanova said she only joined Frederik when another acquaintance pulled out and he asked her to go in their place.

Sources close to Casanova said she and Frederik were simply “old friends” who have “several mutual acquaintances”.

Casanova is a household name in Mexico and is also a celebrity in Spain after appearing on numerous reality shows including The Masked Singer, Spanish Celebrity MasterChef and The Chase.

In 2005 she was married to Spanish author Cayetano Martinez de Irujo one of the five sons of the late billionaire Duchess of Alba.

The couple have two children, 23-year-old twins Luis and Amine, who live and work in Britain.

Neither Mary or Frederik have commented publicly on the allegations and on Thursday shared an Instagram video to promote their annual “Royal Run”.

Mary famously met Frederik in Sydney back in 2000 during a chance meeting at the Slip Inn pub during the Olympic Games.

The couple have been married for 19 years and have four children Prince Christian, 18, Princess Isabella, 16, and twins Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine, 12.

When Frederik becomes king Mary will become the world’s first Australian-born queen.

Since marriage Mary has dedicated her life to learning her husband’s native language and fulling her royal duties.
