Prince William and wife Princess Catherine have shared a new photograph of daughter Princess Charlotte to mark the child’s eighth birthday.
The adorable picture, taken by her mother the Princess of Wales, shows a beaming Charlotte sitting on a white wicker chair.
The little girl is wearing an exquisite white summer dress embroidered with flowers in the delightful image and her long, sunstreaked hair is tousled.
The natural snap was taken last weekend at the Wales’ family home in Windsor, Adelaide Cottage.
The caption on the royal couple’s tweet read: “Wishing Princess Charlotte a very happy birthday! 8 tomorrow.”
The photo byline, referring to Princess Catherine, simply said: “The Princess”.
Royal fans took to social media to comment on the child’s strong resemblance to her father, Prince William.
“You are the double of your Dad,” one posted on Twitter.
Another commented” “It’s a mini Will, I’m crying.”
“Crazy that she is already eight! Looking so much like her father,”another royal fan commented.
It comes just weeks after images of her younger brother Prince Louis — including one of him being pushed in a wheelbarrow by his mother — were released for his fifth birthday.
CHARLOTTE, GEORGE IN UNSEEN PHOTOS WITH KING
Adorable never-before-published photographs of Prince George and Princess Charlotte with King Charles have been revealed in the run-up to the coronation on May 6.
The family pictures were aired in the new BBC documentary, Charles R: The Making of a Monarch.
One shot captures a sweet moment between the monarch and firstborn grandchild Prince George bonding at a royal picnic over a glass of juice.
King Charles is pointing to something happening out of the frame, while his young grandson looks in the same direction.
Another image showed the then Prince Charles holding up a toy to Princess Charlotte when she was a toddler.
