Prince Louis has captured a stunning photograph of his royal mum balancing precariously on a log in the forest as she lifts her face up to the sunlight.
The Princess posted the sweet snap along with a heartfelt message to the royal Instagram account to mark World Cancer Day.
“Don’t forget to nurture all that which lies beyond the disease,” Princess Catherine wrote, signing the message off with her initial.
Together with the revelation made earlier this week that Catherine will not be allowing the Palace to release details of her wardrobe choices, the raw post and the immediate outpouring of love it received proves the future queen is capable of treading her own path on the way to the throne.
The picture is very well composed and lit given it was taken by six-year-old Louis, proving he follows in his photography-loving mum’s footsteps.
The post was immediately flooded by comments praising the young royal’s keen eye.
“I can’t believe that this photo was taken by Louis,” said one commenter.
“Louis taking after his mum,” noted another.
“Beautiful picture! Well done, Louis!” added a third.
“What a sweet picture and powerful message! Well done, Louis, you definitely have your Mama’s photography skills,” concluded another fan.
PRINCESS WANTS TO PUT HER WORK BEFORE HER WARDROBE
As part of Kate’s new outlook, Kensington Palace will be longer be briefing the media on the details of her outfits.
The Palace, which previously confirmed the designers behind Kate’s looks to the press, will now cease to do so as she wishes to focus on her work rather than her wardrobe according to a report in the Times of London.
The move won’t stop fashion experts from analysing the future’s queens looks with items worn by Kate routinely selling out in stores.
“There is an absolute feeling that it (the public work) is not about what the Princess is wearing,” a Palace source told The Times.
“She wants the focus to be on the really important issues, the people and the causes she is spotlighting.
“There will always be an appreciation of what the princess is wearing from some of the public and she gets that. But do we need to be officially always saying what she is wearing? No.
“The style is there but it’s about the substance.”
It is understood that Buckingham Palace will continue to issue details of the Queens’s outfits and this decision was made by Princess Catherine alone.
KATE IGNORES ROYAL PROTOCOL TO THE DELIGHT OF LITTLE FAN
Kensington Palace did not confirm the details of Princess Catherine’s outfit during her most recent public appearance on January 30, when she had a hectic day of royal engagements in Wales.
A highlight of the day occurred when three-year-old Lily-Rose Logan began calling Kate’s name from a crowd assembled by the road as the royal convoy left a textiles factory.
Unable to ignore the little girl’s plea for attention, the Princess did away with protocol and ordered the convoy to stop.
Lily-Rose and the rest of the crowd gasped and cheered when they saw the royal dashing toward them as it is considered highly unusual for a royal security convoy to stop like this after leaving an engagement.
“Thank you for coming to say hello! I heard you saying hello from all the way back there, so I thought I should come and say hello to you. It’s very nice to meet you,” Princess Catherine said while exclaiming over Lily-Rose’s toy banana.
“I wanted to say hi to you!” Lily-Rose replied.
“Do you know what they make over here? They make socks and jumpers. It’s very interesting. So maybe when you’re older you can have a look in there! It’s incredible what they’re doing,” Kate told the youngster before moving on to shake more hands.
An onlooker captured the moment and posted it on social media where it quickly went viral.
Production of textiles was one of the main economic activities in Wales for many centuries, which is known for its woollens, quilts and tapestries.
The Prince and Princess of Wales last visited Wales in October 2023 to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the arrival of the HMT Empire Windrush to the UK and mark the start of Black History Month.
KATE FOLLOWS IN PRINCESS DIANA’S STEPS
Earlier at the hospital, Princess Catherine radiated joy and compassion as she interacted with families of kids bravely fighting terminal illness during her visit to a children’s hospice in Wales.
The Princess of Wales visited Tŷ Hafan’s hospice near Cardiff, where she spent time playing and talking with children, families and staff.
Tŷ Hafan (Haven House in English) provides free care and support to children with life-shortening conditions and their families, both within the hospice and in homes and communities in Wales.
The Sun reports the 43-year-old royal cancer survivor has been appointed as new patron of the hospice, a position previously held by Princess Diana in its fundraising stage.
The visit also marked her first engagement in Wales since revealing her cancer diagnosis – and the royal made the most of it, sharing her down to earth presence and warm smiles.
Princess Catherine played with eight kids during the visit and spoke to four parents who lost children, as well as even painting her hand red and making a hand print on the wall.
Oscar, five, moved about using his walker and stopped the Princess in the corridor to interact with her.
As she entered the room where children were entertained by a guitarist, Princess Catherine said, “This is very vibrant.”
Smiling, Kate crouched down to speak to Dani-Rae, three, and asked: “What do you like doing here? Are you having a good time? Are you singing songs?
The royal playfully shook some maracas and asked: “Do you like playing any instruments?”
Kensington Palace arranged for a donation of musical instruments to be provided to the charity to allow them to conduct more music therapy sessions.
In one adorable moment, the Princess beamed as she let nine-year-old Lottie – whose sibling is being treated at the hospice – paint her hand bright red.
She also shared a cheeky laugh while painting the hand of four-year-old Maggie – another sister whose sibling is under the hospice’s care.
The future queen and mother-of-three also warmly chatted with parents and caregivers.
Irfon Rees, Chief Executive of Tŷ Hafan, said: “We are deeply honoured that Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales has become Patron of Tŷ Hafan and it was an absolute pleasure to welcome Her Royal Highness to our hospice for the first time today.
“As our Patron, Her Royal Highness will be an inspiration for children with life-shortening conditions and their families, our dedicated staff and volunteers and everyone who so generously supports us.
“No parent ever imagines that their child’s life will be short. Sadly this is the reality facing thousands of families in Wales.
“We can’t stop this happening, but together we can make sure that no one lives their child’s short life alone.”
The visits are part of Kate’s “gradual return to work” which included a last minute decision to join Prince William at a moving Holocaust Memorial Day event.
