William and Catherine win French privacy lawsuit over ski holiday photos

Prince William and Princess Catherine have won a legal battle against a magazine that published photos of their family holiday.

Prince Harry tries his hand at American accent

Prince William and Princess Catherine have won a privacy lawsuit against a French tabloid that published paparazzi photos of a private ski holiday they took with their children.

The magazine Paris Match, owned by multinational luxury goods conglomerate LVMH, ran photos of Will, Kate and their three children hitting the ski slopes and relaxing on the balcony of their chalet in the French Alps.

The royals instigated legal proceedings days after the photos first appeared and the magazine has now published a judicial notice acknowledging they “had infringed the respect due to their private life and the rights the Prince and Princess of Wales and their children have on their image”.

A Kensington Palace condemned the action of the magazine for the “grossly intrusive article and long-lens paparazzi photographs of their private family holiday in the Alps in April.”

“The ruling affirms that, notwithstanding their public duties as members of the royal family, their Royal Highnesses and their children are entitled to respect for their private lives and family time, without unlawful interference and intrusion,” the statement from the palace reads.

“The Prince and Princess of Wales are committed to protecting their private family time and ensuring that their children can grow up without undue scrutiny and interference. They will not hesitate to take such action as is necessary to enforce those boundaries.”

Paris Match are also responsible for paying the royals’ legal fees.

This is the second time the couple have taken action against a French publication for breaching their privacy.

In 2017 they received $177,000 in damages from a separate publication Closer who published topless photos of Princess Catherine sunbaking.

TAYLOR SWIFT QUESTION WHICH BAFFLED PRINCE HARRY

Prince Harry is baffled by Taylor Swift and Charli XCX’s bad blood.

The Duke of Sussex was hilariously asked about the singers’ feud during the new episode of the Hasan Minhaj Doesn’t Know podcast.

Host Hasan Minhaj introduced the topic by warning Harry, 41, that it was “heavy.”

The comedian, 40, then asked, “What do you think of this Taylor Swift, Charli XCX beef?”

Harry immediately looked confused, replying, “The what? Oh, no.”

As the retired royal glanced off camera, a confused expression on his face, Minjah described the Grammy winners’ viral diss tracks about each other.

“This is serious,” he said.

“Because was Charli’s diss track even a diss track? I mean, to me, Sympathy is a Knife was about something completely different, but then Taylor comes back, and I think escalates it, with the Actually Romantic thing.”

Notably, Sympathy Is a Knife came out in 2024 and featured lyrics about a girl who “taps [her] insecurities.”

Earlier this month, Swift released her Life of a Showgirl album and seemingly compared her fellow artist to a “toy chihuahua barking at me from a tiny purse” in Actually Romantic.

Minaj summed up his discussion of the songs by asking, “Is this fair? Or did Charli draw blood and Taylor had to respond?”

Harry, still looking completely flummoxed by the line of subject matter, began to respond when the actor cut him off.

“Sometimes I think, where do we go from here, you know?” Minhaj asked.

All Harry managed to say was, “Well,” before he started laughing.

The interview comes one day after Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle, revealed her Swiftie status while prepping for her As Ever line’s product drop.

She blasted Opalite via Instagram Stories in Tuesday’s Instagram Story upload.

‘THAT WAS DECENT’: HARRY FLAUNTS AMERICAN ACCENT

Minhaj also asked Harry whether he “could do an American accent,” to which the prince – who lives in California – inquired, “Which part of America?”

Minhaj explained that the accent could be from “anywhere” before he gave his guest a few sentences to repeat.

“This is the most American sentence I could think of,” the comedian admitted before saying, “I ordered bread sticks with ranch dressing at Applebee’s.”

Laughing, Harry asked for the sentence to be repeated, prompting Minhaj to stress the importance of emphasising the “A” in both ranch and Applebee’s.

“‘A,’ Applebee’s,” Harry repeated, as Minhaj prompted him to say, “I love Applebee’s.” The Duke of Sussex obliged but giggled in the process.

“Now I’m just sitting here sweating,” Harry confessed, going on to complete the task at hand.

“I ordered bread sticks with ranch dressing at Applebee’s,” he said into the mic using a generic American accent.

A somewhat impressed Minhaj let out, “That was decent,” as the slightly embarrassed royal looked over at the off-camera crew. “They enjoyed that,” he quipped.

The podcaster then asked Harry to repeat, “Hey, do you like my Cybertruck?” which he did — followed by more chuckles.

Minhaj then scolded — perhaps playfully — his staffers for laughing in the background, informing them that the pair was “having a real thing.”

But the prince quickly stepped in to insist that “the laughter is encouraging.” However, he paused and wondered aloud, “Is it encouraging, or is it mocking me? I’m not sure.”

The Spare author then leaned over to look at the ongoing commotion and hilariously shouted, “Come on, y’all!”

HARRY AND MEGHAN AT STAR STUDDED SPORTS GAME

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry managed to score better seats than some sports legends at the World Series.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were among several A-listers who attended Game 4 of the World Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays in Dodger Stadium.

Photos and video show the couple seated together in the first row — right in front of Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson, who holds a 2.3 per cent stake in the Dodgers, and former Dodgers pitcher Sandy Koufax.

The royals were seen having a friendly chat with Koufax, who played 12 seasons in Major League Baseball.

The Netflix stars also took a group photo with Magic and his wife, Cookie Johnson.

The Suits star and Harry rocked nearly identical outfits for their date night out, both wearing blue Dodgers caps, white shirts and blue cardigans.

Videos shared online showed the power couple receiving the VIP treatment as they were escorted into the stadium and to their front-row seats.

When the pair was shown on the Jumbotron, some people in the crowd booed them.
