Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been slammed as “royal grifters” in yet another humiliating cartoon attack with the producers of Family Guy taking aim at the couple.
The latest episode of the hugely popular series mocks the Sussexes’ multimillion-dollar Netflix deal and their lavish lifestyle, suggesting that influencing is one of the few ways they can earn money since stepping down from royal life.
It comes months after the pair’s savaging at the hands of the creators of South Park, who poked fun at their bid for privacy in the scathing World Wide Privacy Tour episode.
“Sir, your millions from Netflix for … no one knows what,” a butler in the Family Guy episode tells a cartoon Prince Harry as he lounges by the pool alongside Meghan Markle.
“Put it with the rest of them,” he replies.
When Meghan’s cartoon doppelganger answers her phone, she says “Babe, time to do our daily $250,000 sponsored Instagram post for Del Taco.”
“I shouldn’t have left the made-up nonsense,” Prince Harry replies, seemingly wistful for his days in the British monarchy.
The episode echoes the South Park take-down in February following the Sussexes’ bombshell Netflix series and Prince Harry’s memoir Spare, which exposed the royal family’s dirty laundry even as the pair continued to complain about their lack of privacy.
It was such a savage burn that the couple were forced to respond to rumours they were planning to sue the show’s creators, Trey Parker and Matt Stone.
After the airing, The Spectator claimed the couple was so frustrated with the episode that they are now “taking it out on each other”.
“[Meghan] is annoyed by South Park but refuses to watch it all,” the anonymous source told the outlet.
