More than a year after signing a new audio deal, Meghan has finally revealed her new podcast series and confirmed its fast-approaching launch date.
The Duchess of Sussex teamed up with female-run Lemonada Media last February after parting ways with Spotify, through whom she’d released one season of her previous podcast, Archetypes.
On Thursday, it was announced that her first series under the new contract is called Confessions of a Female Founder, and that it will launch on April 8.
It’s set to feature conversations with businesswomen and friends, sharing advice and anecdotes about starting a company.
“I’m so excited to share with you something else I’ve been working on: ‘Confessions of a Female Founder’, my new podcast with @lemonadamedia!” Meghan wrote on Instagram, alongside a promo shot.
“I’ve been having candid conversations with amazing women who have turned dreams into realities, and scaled small ideas into massively successful businesses.
“They’re opening up, sharing their tips, tricks (and tumbles), and letting me pick their brains as I build out my own business, As Ever.
“It has been absolutely eye-opening, inspiring … and fun! (Because what’s the point if we can’t have some fun on this wild adventure?)”
Meanwhile, Lemonada described the show as inviting listeners to “be a fly on the wall as Meghan sits down for candid conversations with female founders and friends about the success, the struggles, and the never-before-told stories of building a business”.
A trailer for the series will be released on March 25 ahead of the April premiere.
Meghan’s previous series, Archetypes, focused on female stereotypes and included several celebrity guests, including Serena Williams, Paris Hilton and Andy Cohen.
It’s already been a busy start to the year for the duchess, who released her Netflix series, With Love, Meghan last Tuesday and is preparing to officially launch her accompanying lifestyle brand, As Ever, in the coming weeks.
While her eight-part show has landed in the top 10 list for Netflix and been renewed for season two, it’s also been widely panned by TV critics.
