Meghan Markle’s latest foray into the kitchen sparked controversy when she prepared a common meal in a very unorthodox manner.
Meghan Markle has created controversy with her preference for serving bagels untoasted and topped with her famous flower sprinkles.
The Duchess of Sussex shared a video of her preparing the popular American baked good by topping it with cream cheese mixed with chopped strawberries, the flower sprinkles and a dollop of her fruit spread for good measure.
Social media users were not impressed.
“Only a few people may understand this, but those bagels are raw,” one wrote on a post discussing the cooking caper on X.
“Cream cheese and jam on a bagel is college dorm food. Except even a college kid would toast it first,” added another.
MEGHAN AND HARRY’S POWERFUL NEW DOCO
Meghan and Harry have been revealed as the producers behind new Netflix documentary Masaka Kids, A Rhythm Within.
The documentary follows the story of orphans in Uganda who use dance to bring joy.
The Duchess of Sussex shared a trailer of the documentary, which lists the company she shares with Prince Harry Archewell Productions as a producer, to her Instagram story.
‘I’M A BIT RUSTY’: MEGHAN JOKES ABOUT BEING BACK FILMING
Meghan Markle has poked fun at her eight-year hiatus from acting while filming a new movie, Close Personal Friends, in Los Angeles.
“She was joking that she felt a bit rusty,” an insider told People magazine.
“But it was obvious that she had rehearsed and that it was a big deal for her to be back. And she was great.”
The insider further said Meghan arrived on the set of the film and “introduced herself as ‘Meghan.’”
“Everything about her was very sweet and calm,” the source shared. “She genuinely seemed excited to be on set.”
The 44-year-old was said to be “super pleasant to be around” and had “a very warm energy”.
The Duchess of Sussex appeared in good spirits while arriving on set to film the movie in Los Angeles last week.
She was all smiles while hopping into a car to shoot a poolside scene.
Meghan, who portrays herself in the film, looked chic in a blue and white button-up and white pants.
The movie’s plot revolves around a couple who become friends with a famous couple.
A few of her co-stars include Jack Quaid, Lily Collins and Oscar winner, Brie Larson.
Meghan’s return to acting comes eight years after she took a step back from Hollywood following her engagement to Prince Harry in 2017.
The actress’s last role was in Suits, in which she played Rachel Zane for seven seasons from 2011 to 2018.
Her other credits include Remember Me (2010) and Horrible Bosses (2011).
Meghan spoke about stepping back from acting during her 2017 engagement interview with Prince Harry.
“I don’t see it as giving anything up, I just see it as a change,” she said at the time. “It’s a new chapter. Right. And also keep in mind I’ve been working on my show for seven years. So we’re very fortunate to be able to have that sort of longevity on a series and for me, once we hit the 100-episode marker I thought, you know what, I have ticked this box and I feel really proud of the work I’ve done there and now it’s time to, as you said, work as a team with you.”
Meghan has continued to work in front of the camera, though. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex starred in the docuseries Harry & Meghan on Netflix, and she starred in two seasons of her lifestyle series With Love, Meghan for the streamer, with an upcoming holiday special just announced to air December 3.
WILLIAM SURPRISES IRWIN ON DWTS
Prince William has made a surprise appearance on Dancing With the Stars in support of Robert Irwin.
The Prince of Wales, 43, stunned viewers when he appeared on the dancing show via a video chat on Tuesday with Irwin and Irwin’s partner, Witney Carson.
Prince William revealed he missed him and jokingly called him “twinkle toes.”
Irwin asked the Prince how Rio was, referring to the Earthshot Prize ceremony that took place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on November 5.
Irwin was supposed to join the royal at the event but had to cancel due to him still being in the DWTS competition.
“I need you down here,” William said with a smile.
“You guys have got a serious good chance of winning,” he also told the pair after playfully ribbing Irwin.
“Best of luck on the show,” he added.
After the call ended, Carson was visibly shocked that they chatted with the royal on video.
“I can’t believe he just said my name,” Carson said.
Irwin added, “Let’s not mess this up!”
Irwin is an ambassador for the Earthshot Prize, a global environmental award founded by Prince William and The Royal Foundation to find and fund solutions to the world’s greatest environmental challenges.
During Tuesday’s episode of DWTS, Irwin performed a Foxtrot to Footprints in the Sand by Leona Lewis.
He and Carson received their first perfect score of the season for the emotional performance, which was in part dedicated to his late father, Steve Irwin.
After his dance, in which he brought his sister Bindi to the stage, the 21-year-old broke down in tears – a moment that moved audiences across the globe.
HARRY’S PHONE HACKING TRIAL UPDATE
The private investigator central to Prince Harry’s legal action against the Daily Mail has claimed that his witness statement was “completely false” and his signature was “a forgery”, the high court in London heard.
Gavin Burrows, who is linked to the most serious allegations of unlawful information gathering made by seven claimants including Elton John and Elizabeth Hurley, previously retracted his alleged statement in 2023.
The private investigator has now drawn up a 30-page witness statement in which he says he “does not recognise” the “purported witness statement” issued in his name.
Mr Burrows claimed that a witness statement dated August 2021, in which he appeared to admit hacking phones and bugging cars, was “prepared by others without my knowledge”, The Telegraph reports.
He restated his denial, saying he had never carried out any illegal activity on behalf of ANL.
Associated Newspapers Limited (ANL) is accused by the group of carrying out unlawful activities such as accessing private phone conversations, an allegation that ANL has denied.
A nine-week trial is scheduled for January 2026.
ALWAYS SERVING: MEGHAN’S TRIBUTE TO HARRY
Meghan Meghan has honoured husband Prince Harry on Veterans Day in the US by posting a throwback video of the royal as a young soldier when he served as an Apache attack helicopter pilot.
The footage, which went viral in 2013, showed Prince Harry reacting when an emergency unfolded while he being interviewed in Afghanistan.
Harry, then aged 28, quickly removed his microphone, cutting the interview short, as he and other troops ran to the urgent mission.
The Duchess of Sussex also included a photo of Prince Harry chatting to an elderly war veteran.
“As my husband says, ‘Once served. Always serving,’” Meghan captioned the clip.
“Thank you to all who served, sacrificed, and continue to serve. Honouring you on Veterans Day. And every day.”
Prince Harry famously served two tours in Afghanistan amid his decade-long military career with the British Army.
KARDASHIAN, JENNER DELETE SUSSEX PHOTOS
Kim Kardashian and her mum, Kris Jenner, quietly deleted photos they had with Prince Harry and Meghan Meghan from the reality TV queen’s 70th birthday bash on the weekend.
Originally, Jenner posted a carousel of images on Instagram from her star-studded bash, including a snap of her posing with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, which has now been removed.
As for Kardashian, she also initially shared a photo with Meghan smiling for the camera as they posed together.
However, that particular photo has since been deleted.
Page Six has reached out to reps for the Sussexes, Jenner and Kardashian for comment but did not immediately hear back.
The Harry & Meghan stars first supported their pal Serena Williams at the Baby2Baby Gala on Saturday.
They then headed over to Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s A$268 million Beverly Hills, California mansion for Jenner’s party.
Meghan, 44, looked chic for the night out, wearing a black long-sleeved top and matching floor-length skirt.
Meanwhile, Harry, 41, rocked a black tuxedo and bow tie. He also wore a traditional poppy pin on his jacket in honour of Remembrance Day.
The couple held hands as they arrived at the soiree, which was also attended by the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Jay-Z and Beyoncé, who successfully snuck in without being photographed, Bill Gates, Paris Hilton, Tyler Perry, Ciara, Mark Zuckerberg and many more.
Page Six exclusively reported that royal insiders were appalled by the Sussexes’ appearance at Jenner’s birthday festivities.
“It’s so tacky,” one palace insider, who works with the royal family, told us.
“It truly shows that Harry is so far removed from the rest of the family,” the source said.
“These people may be stars in America, but the pure ostentatiousness is at odds with what Prince William is trying to do with his life and the monarchy,” the insider continued.
Page Six exclusively reported that Jenner’s party, which was thrown by her six kids, would be a 007-theme in honour of her 70th birthday.
The cops were called to the mansion several times that night due to noise complaints from the neighbours.
