Oasis stars Liam and Noel Gallagher’s older brother has been charged with a string of offences including rape, sexual assault and coercive control.
DJ and photographer Paul Gallagher, 59, is also accused of actual bodily harm, threats to kill and three counts of intentional strangulation, British police have confirmed.
Mr Gallagher, of Finchley, north London, is accused of offences said to have taken place between 2022 and 2024, reports The Sun.
London’s Metropolitan Police began a probe last year and the force said a woman was being supported by specially-trained officers.
The charges come as the huge OASIS Live ’25 tour came to London last weekend before dates in Edinburgh and Dublin.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “A man has been charged with numerous offences – including rape, coercive control and sexual assault”.
“Paul Gallagher, 59, of East Finchley, has been charged with rape, coercive and controlling behaviour, three counts of sexual assault, three counts of intentional strangulation, two counts of making a threat to kill and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
“The offences are reported to have taken place between 2022 – 2024. The charges follow an investigation which commenced in 2024. A woman is being supported by specially-trained officers.
“Gallagher will appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 27 August.”
