New photos of Pete Evans confirm surprising truth

Fresh photos of Pete Evans wandering around Sydney airport have revealed a surprising 2024 reality.

When Pete Evans stopped appearing on My Kitchen Rules and debuted his edgy new mullet haircut, it was a statement.

The 51-year-old abandoned his clean-cut television life and embraced his alternative Byron Bay lifestyle, where bone broth and anti-vaccination views reign supreme.

Whether he was aware of it or not, his hair changing from a clean-cut look to a mullet meets Mohawk was a symbol of his new era.

At the time, Pete’s more casual, edgy look was enough for people to claim he was “unrecognisable!” There was outcry!

He was out of the navy suits he used to wear on My Kitchen Rules and just wandering around Byron Bay in shorts.

It was a culture shock for us all! It’s like seeing your businessman father retire and start wearing Hawaiian shirts out for lunch.

Bizarrely though, Pete’s once edgy haircut has become, I dare say, completely common now. Borderline uninteresting.

The fresh photos of him hanging out at Sydney airport in khakis, with his gorgeous mullet on display, just seem unremarkable.

The shock value of the haircut has lost its edge because everyone has a mullet now. It’s become the new trend.

Nothing has proved that more than schoolies, where young men with mullets are the only thing more common than wristbands.

All sorts of young men too!

Not just the tortured hipster types or the public school boys who don’t have to adhere to such strict dress codes. .

Even the private school boys have embraced it, the footy boys can’t seem to refuse it either. Honestly, any red-blooded male is likely to go out and ask for a mullet.

It’s not even seen as a subversive act anymore. It is just seen as quite a fun haircut, but also a completely normal one.

The cut is no longer reserved for men in eighties rock bands or for the guy in the band who only plays gigs in Sydney’s inner west and shops at General Pants Co but claims his shirts are vintage.

The haircut has gone very mainstream. I’m talking Taylor Swift pop music mainstream, and there’s no going back now.

It doesn’t matter that Pete’s living his alternate wellness lifestyle in Byron Bay and runs a “healing” retreat.

According to the retreat’s website that includes everything new-age, from float tank meditation to breath work and tea ceremonies.

His haircut no longer represents his alternate lifestyle; instead, he looks like any other bloke.

It’s bloody annoying when you’re ahead of the times, and then everyone catches up with you.

Pete might still be living an alternate lifestyle far away from the glitz and glam of Australian television, but his haircut …. well, that is as mainstream as it comes.
