Is there any question that Margot Robbie’s maternity style would be anything but perfection?
The Aussie actress walked her first red carpet in LA since news of her pregnancy made headlines in July – and she absolutely glowed.
The 34-year-old wore an off-the-shoulder, taupe-coloured skin-tight dress to a screening of My Old Ass, a comedy drama that is produced by her and husband Tom Ackerley’s production company, LuckyChap Entertainment.
And she didn’t let her pregnancy dictate her footwear either, opting for a black strappy pair of stilettos which she rocked effortlessly.
Although Robbie does not star in the film, she was at the Beverly Hills event to support the cast, happily posing on the red carpet with star Maisy Stella and director Megan Park.
Ackerley, 34, was also at the event, although he was not photographed on the red carpet with his wife.
The pair were secretly married in Byron Bay in 2016, three years after they met on the set of the World War II drama Suite Française. Robbie starred in the film, while Ackerley was as an assistant director.
The celebrity couple are known to be very private about their personal life – they never announced their engagement nor did they confirm reports they were expecting.
Instead, confirmation came when Robbie was photographed with a baby bump while boarding a boat in Lake Como with her husband in early July.
The pair then continued their Italian getaway with a day out on the water on Palmarola Island off the west coast of Italy.
The Barbie star’s growing baby bump was on full display during the outing, with Robbie pictured wearing a black bikini as she soaked up the sunshine on-board a dinghy.
Elsewhere on their babymoon, Robbie was showed off her bump in a partially-unbuttoned shirt while exploring the Porto Cervo seaside resort.
While Robbie let her baby bump do the talking, she left it to People magazine to confirm the baby news, with a source saying that she and Ackerley had “wanted to start a family for quite some time.”
“Family means a lot to both of them and they knew early on in their relationship being parents was something they really wanted,” the source said.
