Katy Perry stopped by Australia Zoo on the Sunshine Coast during the recent Queensland leg of her Lifetimes tour, where she encounter a kangaroo, koala … and Robert Irwin.

The US singer wasted no time getting up close and personal with the wildlife warrior, who she encouraged to practice his dance moves on her ahead of his upcoming stint on US Dancing With the Stars.

“I heard Robert Irwin was going to be on Dancing With The Stars so I thought maybe we should do a practise run here at the Australia Zoo,” Perry said in a clip she shared on TikTok.

“I love it! I’m ready!” Irwin replied, taking Perry’s hand as they began to do the waltz while humming the classic tune of Blue Danube.

But the rehearsal soon went pear-shaped when the 21-year-old appeared to dramatically drop Perry while trying to dip her.

While awkwardly sprawled on the floor, Perry than playfully quipped, “Maybe stick to the animals.”

In a separate TikTok video, the pop star could be seen having a blast engaging with the wildlife at the zoo.

She cuddled a koala, fed a giraffe, took a selfie with a wallaby, and walked a wombat on a leash.

Perry has already played to sold-out arenas in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth during her Aussie visit. She is now due to arrive in Adelaide from Perth for her final Aussie dates, playing at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on June 26, 27, and 29.

The mini-break in her tour comes as her long-term partner Orlando Bloom made his way Down Under amid reports the couple are on the rocks.

He was snapped walking through the Perth CBD on Sunday ahead of Perry’s show in the city, with their daughter on his shoulders. Perry, however, was nowhere to be seen.

Earlier this month and several shows into the Australian tour, reports surfaced claiming that their nine-year relationship was all but done.

“It’s over,” a source alleged to Page Six. “They are waiting till her tour is over before they split.”

As for Irwin, he is footloose and fancy free to make his way over to the US in September for the new season of DWTS – and he can’t wait.

“All I can say is crikey!” Robert told DWTS judge Derek Hough in April when it was announced he would be joining the show.

“Mate, I cannot tell you what an honour, what a privilege it is to be joining this season. I am over the moon. Let’s do this.”

Joining the series has always been a dream for the I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! host. It would also mean following in the footsteps of his sister Bindi Irwin, who won US DWTS in 2015 aged just 17.
