‘Jealous’: Madonna hits back at LuPone

After Patti LuPone doubled down on calling Madonna a “movie killer” and a terrible actress, the pop diva had the perfect response.

Madonna has appeared to send a very clear message to Patti LuPone after the Broadway legend’s latest remarks about her.

The Broadway icon joined Aubrey Plaza on a recent episode of Hot Ones Versus, where she refused to apologise for incendiary comments she once levelled at the pop star.

Plaza told LuPone to “look into the camera and apologise to the pop icon” for calling her a “movie killer” who “can’t act her way out of a paper bag” during a previous interview.

If she refused to apologise, she insisted the star had to eat a “death wing” - the show’s spiciest offering, to which LuPone picked up the wing and ate the entire thing.

“I’ve seen her on stage and I saw her in a movie and I went, ‘Um, okay,’” the actress and singer told Plaza. “There’s just some things some people can’t do, and you just gotta admit you cant do it, that’s all. Or don’t even try it! Everybody cant do everything.”

LuPone then went on to throw the same shade at Kim Kardashian, adding: “Like Kim f**king Kardashian. Can we go there? Or shall I eat another wing?”

In response to LuPone’s comments, Madonna appeared to hit back at the Broadway star in a TikTok posted hours after the interview went live.

Without saying a word, Madge looked into the camera as the song Whole Lotta Money by Bia played in the background with the lyrics: “I don’t hang with jealous b**ches, that’s a weak disease, h*e don’t run up, if you broke and in my business, thеn just shut up!”.

Fans rushed to comment, with one replying: “Patti is FUMING somewhere!”

Another added: “I know that’s right, listen up Miss LuPone!”

The musical theatre legend made headlines back in 2017 when she criticised the pop diva’s performance as Eva Perón in Evita, a role she originated in Broadway.

“I thought it was a piece of sh**,” LuPone told Andy Cohen. “Madonna is a movie killer, she’s dead behind the eyes, she cannot act her way out of a paper bag, she should not be in film or on stage.”
