American YouTuber MrBeast has shifted tune on his mega popular social media page to share a heartwarming life update.

MrBeast has announced his engagement.

The popular US YouTube star, 26, proposed to his girlfriend, fellow gaming content creator Thea Booysen, 27, over Christmas, sharing the happy news on his Instagram account on Thursday.

The businessman and media personality, real name James Stephen ‘Jimmy’ Donaldson, uploaded several sweet photos of the moment he got down on one knee, with the pair wearing matching MrBeast branded festive sweaters surrounded by family.

“Ya boy did a thing,” he simply captioned the post.

MrBeast proposed to fellow influencer Thea Booysen.

Booysen’s stunning sparkler showed a large round-shaped diamond set on a twisted gold band.

Thousands of MrBeast’s 64 million Instagram followers took to the comments section to congratulate the couple.

“Congratulations Thea & Jimmy! Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness together,” one wrote.

“Congrats Jimmy! Let us all come to the wedding,” another said.

“Power couple,” a third chimed in.

The pair shared sweet photos from their Christmas engagement.

They were surrounded by family for the special moment.

The couple first began dating in 2022 after meeting in Booysen’s native South Africa.

MrBeast, who hosts the Amazon Prime reality TV show Beast Games, is known for his slick social media videos featuring challenges and giveaways. He began posting in 2012 before later gaining a following in 2017.

MrBeast is a popular social media personality.

Now, he has more than 340 million subscribers on YouTube, making him the most followed person on the platform.

He’s also the third-most-followed creator on TikTok with over 106.9 million followers.

Raised in North Carolina, MrBeast has experienced a meteoric rise in the media landscape over the past few years.

In 2023, Forbes estimated his net worth had rapidly climbed to a staggering $US500 million.
