Jennifer Lopez has appeared to throw shade at Ben Affleck in a candid chat with the co-star of her latest film.

Jennifer Lopez has made a fresh dig at Ben Affleck in a candid chat with her Unstoppable co-star Bobby Cannavale.

Lopez, who stunned onlookers at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival in a jaw-dropping revenge dress, was overheard making a frank comment to Cannavale, the husband of Aussie actress Rose Byrne.

In footage taken by the Hollywood Reporter, Lopez could be heard telling Cannavale, in an apparent reference to her choice in men, “I’m a bad picker”.

Cannavale had trouble hearing Lopez at first so she repeated the phrase at least two other times to him, while also laughing.

She then appeared to say, “It is what it is.”

The singer didn’t appear to show any signs of sadness after filing for divorce late last month from Affleck after their two years together.

Lopez posed happily on the red carpet, mingled with fans and members of the cast and crew of the movie.

She also posted pictures of the dress and her appearance on the red carpet on her Instagram account.

Lopez stars in Unstoppable alongside Cannavale, Jharrel Jerome, Michael Pena and Don Cheadle.

JLO’S DEFIANT MESSAGE TO AFFLECK AMID SPLIT

Jennifer Lopez has struck a defiant pose on Instagram in the aftermath of her devastating split from Ben Affleck.

The age-defying star looked radiant as she took a bathroom mirror selfie with her hand on her hip as she flaunted her booty.

With her trademark high ponytail, the Bronx-born singer was channelling her Jenny from the Block attitude with a series of images that was accompanied by a somewhat wry caption that read: “Oh, it was a summer.”

Lopez also included a cryptic quote that appeared to allude to the personal dramas surrounding her fourth marriage split: “Everything is unfolding in divine order.”

Other images included Lopez tucking into an ice cream while another photo showed the star’s child Emme looking lovingly at her pet cat.

Lopez’s brave front comes amid claims she has been “hit hard” over her divorce from Affleck.

Lopez filed for divorce from the Oscar winner on August 20 despite not wanting to pull the plug on their two-year marriage.

After ending their on-off romance for good, sources claim that Lopez was “upset and disappointed with” Affleck, especially after he initiated their reconciliation following years apart.

“It’s really hit her hard,” a source told People magazine of the pop superstar. “She’s very upset and disappointed with Ben.”

The source told People that Lopez isn’t comfortable living in the Beverly Hills super-mansion the two bought last year for a whopping $88 million.

“She and Ben bought the house for the whole family. It’s way too big for her and filled with too many memories as well,” says the source.

Lopez and Affleck’s blended family includes his children with ex Jennifer Garner — Violet, 18, Seraphina 15, and Samuel, 12 — and Lopez’s kids with ex Marc Anthony — twins Max and Emme, 16.

Another source told People that Lopez is “doing as well as she can” and “seems relieved” after filing.

“It’s been incredibly difficult for her that Ben chose to pull away from their marriage and move on with his life, leaving her behind. She didn’t want a divorce. She wanted to figure things out. They love each other. Jennifer is not the type to just give up. It’s been almost torture for her to wait around.”

The source said Affleck is “doing well and is very focused” in the wake of the filing.

While Lopez hasn’t been seen out in public since news of the pair’s divorce, Affleck has been spotted out and about in Los Angeles.

Last weekend, he was seen having dinner with longtime friend and collaborator Matt Damon and Damon’s wife Luciana in Los Angeles.

But the Oscar winner’s reps were also forced to deny reports Affleck had been seeing Kathleen “Kick” Kennedy, the daughter of controversial politician Robert F Kennedy Jr, saying “this rumour is not true”.

Lopez and Affleck reunited in 2021 after breaking off their engagement in the early 2000s amid the “Bennifer” phenomenon. The two eloped in Las Vegas in July 2022, a month before having a more formal wedding ceremony in front of family and friends in Georgia.
