Hugh Jackman has been savaged by fans on social media after he shared a surprising post on Instagram about Sutton Foster.
Hugh Jackman has been slammed over a gushing post he made about his girlfriend Sutton Foster.
Foster, who played the lead character of Liza Miller in the TV series Younger, is currently performing an intimate Christmas concert at Café Carlyle in New York.
After attending Thursday’s show, Jackman couldn’t resist posting a glowing review of her performance.
“@suttonlore performing during the holidays at @cafecarlyle,” he wrote. Now that’s an iconic NYC night! And, truly magical.”

Despite the sweet nature of the post, Jackman’s comments were immediately flooded with fans calling out the actor for dumping his ex-wife, Deborra-Lee Furness.
“Reminiscent of the praise you always heaped on Deb,” one user wrote of Jackman’s post.
“I lost all my respect for you. I know you won’t care but I do,” remarked another.
“That’s embarrassing, Hugh! We used to think you were cool. What a disappointment,” another commented.
“Your poor children. Did you ever think for one second how this what make them or their mother feel??” one follower wrote.

“TOO SOON. You made promises to Deb and we all believed you,” another added.
It seems the couple are finally comfortable going public with their relationship, perhaps both now thinking enough time has passed since their splits from their respective exes.
Jackman, 57, shocked Hollywood in 2023 when he and wife of 27 years Deborra-Lee Furness, 69, announced they were going their separate ways in September 2023.
Aside from a joint statement that was filled with platitudes about their mutual respect for each other, both maintained a dignified silence about the split – until almost two years later, in June 2025, when Furness’ divorce payout was finalised.
She then issued an extraordinary public statement in which she called out her ex for a “traumatic betrayal” that “cut deep”.
It comes amid reports Jackman and Furness have been working to rebuild their friendship, with Jackman attempting to “make peace” with his ex-wife.
“Hugh has been trying to make peace with Debs for a long while now, but as you can imagine, it has taken her time to feel ready,” an insider told Radar Online.
“Settling all the legal stuff seems to have helped because she’s finally coming around - they’ve gotten together a couple of times in New York recently to talk things out, and by all accounts things have improved dramatically, which is fantastic for everyone, most of all their kids.”
The source added: “It’s been two years now since they officially separated and it really is time to let the hatred and anger go.”
