Freddie Mercury’s secret child has been “revealed”’ for the first time in almost 50 years, according to a bombshell new book.

The Queen legend allegedly had a daughter in 1976 following a brief relationship with a close friend’s wife.

Now, she has broken her silence to reveal her existence, which was, until now, only ever known by Freddie’s bandmates, parents, sister and his long-term partner Mary Austin.

She has spoken out for the first time in a new book, Love, Freddie, written by biographer Lesley-Ann Jones.

However, she is only referred to as B in the biography.

Before the iconic singer died of pneumonia caused by AIDS in 1991, Freddie gave his daughter 17 volumes of his personal journals.

She kept them a secret for years, but recently handed them over to the author to form the basis of the book that’ll be released later this year.

The woman, who was born in 1976, says she always knew the legendary singer was her dad – despite being raised by a loving family.

She lives in Europe working as a medical professional with children of her own, making Freddie a posthumous granddad.

Before his tragic death aged 45, Mercury had a number of relationships with men and women.

Freddie and Mary never had any children together, but Mary went on to have two sons with another partner after their six-year relationship ended.

The pair remained incredibly close to the singer for the rest of his life.

She is said to have known about his secret love child with a woman whose identity has been kept secret.

Now his daughter will only be known as B in the book, which has seen by the Daily Mail.

In a handwritten letter included in the text, B writes: “Freddie Mercury was and is my father.

“We had a very close and loving relationship from the moment I was born and throughout the final 15 years of his life.”

“He adored me and was devoted to me. The circumstances of my birth may seem, by most people’s standards, unusual and even outrageous.

“That should come as no surprise. It never detracted from his commitment to love and look after me.

“He cherished me like a treasured possession.”
