Liz Hurley steps out with lookalike son Damian

The British actress has stepped out with her 21-year-old model son Damian – with the mother and son looking more alike than ever.

British actress Elizabeth Hurley has stepped out with her lookalike son Damian Hurley.

The mother-and-son duo looked more alike than ever as they hit the red carpet at the SiriusXM Studios in New York overnight, as the pair promote their upcoming film Strictly Confidential, which stars Liz and was written and directed by 21-year-old Damian.

The movie, described as a “sensual thriller with a devilish twist”, marks the directorial debut for Damian, who is the son of late US businessman Steve Bing, who died in 2020 aged 55.

A synopsis for the plot reads, “On the anniversary of Rebecca’s (Lauren McQueen) death, Mia (Georgia Lock) returns to the Caribbean paradise where she and her best friend shared her final days.

“As Mia and sets out to unravel the mysterious events of her passing, old passions rise, new secrets are uncovered, and Mia is pulled into a seductive world of sex, betrayal and murder.”

Liz, 58, plays Rebecca’s wealthy mother Lily in the film, which will be released in the US on April 5.

Speaking to People, Liz revealed her young son had ambitions to direct from the age of 8, with her high-profile ex-boyfriends, including UK actor Hugh Grant (who is Damian’s godfather) and the late Australian cricketer Shane Warne, regularly featuring in his rookie projects.

“I gave him his first camcorder when he was around 8. And from that moment on, he filmed us non-stop. He wrote scripts. He bullied every friend and family member into making his mini-films,” Liz told the publication.

“(Warne) played many a lead role,” Damian added. “Every single person was a phenomenal sport.”

Damian, a drama school graduate, was approached by an executive from Hollywood studio Lionsgate two years ago, who asked him to write and direct Strictly Confidential after seeing a short film the budding filmmaker had created.

Liz, having years earlier made a promise to Damian she’d be in his debut movie, was the first star attached to the project.

“When you’re an only child with a single parent, the facade of ‘I’m the adult, and you’re the child who is going to listen to me’ goes quite fast,” Damian said of directing his mother.

“We are very, very similar. We are twin-like.”

Damian is the only child of Liz, with the pair sharing a close relationship.

In 2021, following the death of his father Steve, Damian made headlines after it was revealed he’d been brutally cut out of his dad’s lucrative will. His share had been estimated at around $330 million.

Liz Hurley and Steve Bing had a brief relationship in 2001.

The wealthy financier died in June 2020. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office listed his cause of death as a suicide.

Steve reportedly had trust funds set up for Damian and his daughter, Kira Kerkorian, 25, who he had with retired pro tennis player Lisa Bonder.

Prior to his death, Steve won a legal battle against his own father, Peter Bing, who attempted to remove Damian and Kira from having access to the fortune.

However, after Steve’s death, Peter successfully appealed the decision on the basis that Damian and Kira were children born out of wedlock. According to a 2021 Daily Mail report, Steve’s fortune was being split between the children belonging to his sister, Mary.

At the time, Liz released a statement saying, “When Stephen took his own life, he died thinking his children were going to be taken care of. What Stephen wanted has now been callously reversed. I know Stephen would have been devastated.”
