Anya Taylor-Joy confirms massive two-year secret

Peaky Blinders and Queen’s Gambit star Anya Taylor-Joy has revealed the huge secret she’s been keeping under wraps since 2022.

Actress Anya Taylor-Joy secretly tied the knot – two years ago.

The Queen’s Gambit actress, 27, has confirmed she married her “best friend”, partner Malcolm McRae in New Orleans back in April 2022.

“The magic of that day is ingrained in every cell of my being, forever,” Taylor-Joy wrote in an Instagram post, along with previously-unseen pictures and footage from the vampire-themed ceremony.

“Happy second (first) anniversary my love … you’re the coolest. N.B. yes, those are anatomically correct heart cakes.”

She also referred to herself as “the vampire Lestat” – a nod to the character from the novel Interview with the Vampire, which is also set in New Orleans.

Taylor-Joy added that her Dior wedding dress, which was embellished with hummingbirds and thistles, was “beautifully embroidered with our love story.”

Meanwhile, McRae, 29, also shared personal pictures from the secret wedding on his Instagram page, gushing over his wife.

“I love you now and somehow I always have and somehow it will never end. Happy two year anniversary (yesterday), beautiful,” he wrote.

The famous duo threw a large wedding celebration for their loved ones late last year in Venice, which was widely speculated to have been their nuptials.

However, their social media posts have now confirmed the official ceremony actually took place more than a year earlier.

Taylor Joy was born in the US but moved to London at the age of six.

She’s best known for her roles in Emma, The Witch, Peaky Blinders and Last Night In Soho.

The actress will next appear in Mad Max spin-off, Furiosa.
