It was raining shades of purple everywhere on this year’s Brownlow red carpet with WAGs embracing the shade to striking effect.

It was a purple patch on the Brownlow red carpet as the partners of the players embraced the shade to striking effect.
Pastel shades of lilac, lavender and violet dominated on football’s night of night while rich jewel tones of amethyst, plum and burgundy also proved popular.
Led by Brit Davis, fiance of Geelong captain Joel Selwood, the bride-to-be channelled Old Hollywood glamour in a lavender lace embellished gown by Paolo Sebastian.
Jessica Todd, who is engaged to bearded Demon Max Gawn, also opted for the regal shade, in a billowing ball gown by Georgia Young Couture.
The Melbourne designer also crafted the couture pastel purple gown for Julie Neale, the wife of Brisbane’s Lachie Neale
Alexandra Bourne had her lilac gown perfected by partner, Essendon’s Zach Merrett while Alisha Edwards, partner of Collingwood’s Steele Sidebottom was stunning in a powdery shade of purple.
Jess Tarrant, wife of Kangaroos star Robbie, was also on trend in a tiered belted gown by Georgia Young Couture, with the tulle skirt fading from bold plum into pale lilac.
Brownlow veterans Mardi and Patrick Dangerfield also flirted with the fashionable hue, with the Brownlow medallist sporting a burgundy velvet tuxedo jacket that was matched perfectly to wife Mardi’s Georgia Young Couture off-the-shoulder gown.
