A PRIVATE message from a husband to a wife urging her to embrace her stretch marks has gone viral on Facebook with thousands of women applauding the call.
In the note, Julius included a photograph of a woman with stretch marks labelled "mummy badges - HOT" and a list of all the things he admired about his wife.
After the couple, who own a personal training company and who have authored books on diet and fitness, shared the note with Facebook friends, they discovered it had been read, liked, shared and reposted thousands of times over.
"Nothing symbolises womanhood more than a tummy criss-crossed with those pale crescents of beauty," Julius wrote.
"No bikie patch, no war wound or tattoo will ever come close to the perfect symbol of strength that a mummy badge has."
The personal training duo, who appeared on last week's SBS program Insight about health and obesity, first hit headlines in 2011 when they released their first book, Never Diet Again about escaping the diet cycle.
But they rose eyebrows more recently when they accused fat people of being 'whingers' who, like dole bludgers, took help and advice for free without taking responsibility for their own health.
Now, the pair have released another book, FITmum which displays the more sensitive side to the fat-blasting duo.
It also includes the note that Julius wrote to Sharny about her "mummy badges".
"Real beauty in my opinion is a direct result of hard work, or sacrifice. Be it emotional or physical. Being born perfect is an amazing gift, but hard work leaves signs. Scars. None sexier than stretch marks," he wrote.
