Hugh Hefner’s widow has opened up about the “weird” routine the Playboy founder would make women adhere to in his bedroom.

Hugh Hefner’s widow has revealed what the Playboy founder was like in the bedroom, and she wasn’t exactly complimentary.

Crystal Hefner, who married the magazine publisher in 2012 when she was 26 and he was 86, has written a tell-all book called Only Say Good Things.

In an interview with news.com.au to promote the memoir, Crystal explained that Hefner was pretty lousy between the sheets.

“He never really cared to learn what women like or what women want or how to please a woman at all,” she said.

“He’s definitely a dud root,” she laughed.

Crystal said that Hefner had a very particular routine when it came to sex, adding that it often involved multiple women.

“(We’d) put on a pair of Hef’s silk pyjamas … and then the girls just go in the room and he puts pornography on the TV,” she recalled.

“It was the same porn, the same music, and then the girls just kind of took turns sleeping with Hef.

“He honestly didn’t really seem engaged for the whole decade that I knew him,” Crystal told news.com.au. “It was weird.”

Eventually, Crystal took control of the music that would play in the background while she and other women would have sex with Hefner.

She chose to play Madonna’s Dress You Up on repeat, over and over again.

Crystal explained why in Only Good Things, writing: “I didn’t want to associate any other songs, especially ones I actually liked, with this room (Hefner’s bedroom).

“I didn’t want to one day be wandering through a supermarket and suddenly hear a song that dragged me back to this time.

“If I made sure that this was the only song that reminded me of these moments, then the easier it would be, later, to contain these memories.”

After reading an excerpt like that, the obvious question is: Why did Crystal choose to stay in the Playboy mansion and agree to marry Hefner if she found him so unpleasant?

You can hear her answer to that question in the video at the top of this article.

During her interview with news.com.au, Crystal also accused Hefner of secretly filming orgies inside his bedroom, some of which involved well known people.

“I know there were cameras in Hef’s room because he had this carved wood above the TV and there were circle cutouts in the carved wood,” she said.

When Crystal asked Hefner about the cutouts, he allegedly told her, “those are where the cameras would be”.

Crystal said that Hefner told her the identities of some of the well known people who were caught on camera, but she has always refused to name them publicly because “they’re victims of the mansion … I just feel sorry for them”.

Hefner apparently destroyed the tapes out of fear they’d be made public.
