Ryan Gosling has gone viral after his shocked reaction at this year’s Critics Choice Awards.
The Hollywood star was in attendance with his Barbie co-stars when the camera caught his hilariously shocked reaction up close.
Gosling expressed what appeared to be total shock when his song, I’m Just Ken, was announced as the winner of the Best Original Song award at the annual ceremony.
I’m Just Ken was nominated alongside two other tracks from the Barbie movie, Dance the Night and What Was I Made For, as well as competing against songs from other films like The Super Mario Bros. Movie and Wish.
The shock win seemed to baffle not only Ryan but also many fans across social media, as one user remarked: “Ryan Gosling was as confused as all of us.”
Gosling’s reaction has since gone viral online, with many coming up with suggestions as to what the actor was really thinking in the hilarious moment.

“Ryan Gosling being surprised ‘I’m Just Ken’ won is so I’m Just Ken of him,” laughed one fan, while another said: “Even Ryan Gosling didn’t believe it”.
Another remarked: “Bro was flabbergasted he thought it was a prank!” while others suggested that Gosling didn’t think his song as deserving of the win.

“A white man singing about doing the bare minimum and deserving an award for it just won an award,” ranted one fan. “And it won against two songs centring women from the same movie, Bowser’s love song to Princess Peach, and one sung by a super-powered Hispanic girl”.
Gosling failed to go on stage to accept the award, with writers Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt instead making the speech.
“Ryan Gosling, this is as much your award as ours,” Ronson said. “You made the audience fall in love with this song with your matchless performance, so thank you.”
Meanwhile, Gosling is set to reunite with Margot Robbie after the pair were tapped to star in an Ocean’s 11 prequel film that will be directed by Austin Powers and Bombshell director Jay Roach.
“I can’t really say much,” said producer Josey McNamara. “But I think we’re just trying to do right by the franchise.”
McNamara added that he’s “excited for people to experience it when it’s ready.”
Little is known about the plot of the upcoming heist film, though it reportedly takes place in 1960s Europe, giving the original 2001 George Clooney and Brad Pitt-led film and subsequent 2018 rival starring Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett a wide berth.
