Jared Leto ditched his trademark bun and wore a man-plait to the 2015 Golden Globes, sparking serious hair envy
LAST year he sported a messy man-bun, but Jared Leto’s hair-do for today’s Golden Globes sparked some serious hair envy.

Don't miss out on the headlines from Golden Globes. Followed categories will be added to My News.
HE is the posterboy of the man-bun but now Jared Leto has ditched it for a new hair look — the braid.
The actor/singer, 43, turned up to the Golden Globes in a slicked back low plait, teamed with full facial scruff.
New York Magazine’s influential fashion blog The Cut said the Oscar-winner’s hair “rose to new levels of hair omnipotence”.
His three-strand plait was even compared to Jennifer Lawrence’s trademark braid in The Hunger Games, according to MTV.
Leto’s new look prompted a string of tweets complaining of serious hair envy during the Golden Globes, where he presented the award for Best Supporting Actress.

But Leto, who won just about every award possible last year (including a Globe and Oscar) for his performance in Dallas Buyers Club, doesn’t take his locks too seriously.
“I hear a little bit of people talking about hair, whatever,” Leto told this writer in 2014.
“I should just shave it off maybe at this point. I’m sure it’s not going to last much longer — the
hair, that is. I don’t think about it so much.
“It’s not a big deal to me. I’m thinking about other things in life.”
CELEB STYLIST’S VERDICT ON LETO’S LOCKS
Celebrity hair stylist Anthony Nader, of top Sydney salon RAW, has dubbed the ‘do “the bushman’s plait”, describing Leto’s plait as “clean at the front and a little country at the back”.
“I’m a fan of this ‘man plait’ and totally give a high five to all the guys out there and even in the big smoke to give this one a whirl,” Nader told News Corp Australia.
“The beauty about this is, it doesn’t need to look manicured/polished as such.”
