JAMIE Foxx’s daughter Corinne has been named Miss Golden Globe 2016, following in the footsteps of some very famous offspring.

JAMIE Foxx’s daughter Corinne has been named Miss Golden Globe 2016, following in the footsteps of some very famous offspring.

Corinne is a senior at the University of southern California, as well as being an actress and accessories model.

Miss Golden Globe, traditionally the daughter of a Hollywood star, appears on the telecast and assists during the ceremony.

Past holders of the title include Greer Grammer, daughter of Kelsey Grammer, Rumer Willis daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, Francesca Eastwood, daughter of Clint Eastwood and Frances Fisher, Sosie Bacon, daughter of Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick, and Dakota Johnson, daughter of Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith.

Michael J Fox and Tracy Pollan’s son, Sam Fox, and Freddie Prinze’s and Katherine Elaine Cochran’s son Freddie Prince Jr have also held the post as Mr Golden Globe.

Jamie Foxx won a Golden Globe in 2005 for the biopic Ray and was nominated two other times that same year for his starring role in the TV film “Redemption: The Stan Tookie Williams Story” and supporting role in “Collateral.”

“Throughout the years I’ve grown up watching my dad establish himself as a well-respected actor,” Corinne Foxx said in a statement. “I’m honoured that HFPA has given me the opportunity to now share the same stage where he’s been recognised for some of his greatest accomplishments.”

Jamie Foxx took to Twitter on Tuesday night to share the news: “soo proud of my little one for being chosen as Miss Golden Globes. @corinnefoxx can’t wait to see you on the stage!,” he wrote, sharing a photo of his daughter at the HFPA and InStyle’s party announcing Corinne’s new title.

The Golden Globes will be presented on January 10, 2016 with Ricky Gervais is hosting.
