With COVID still claiming full-scale, in-real-life Hollywood award shows, the Golden Globes’ red carpet has gone virtual.
Wearing head-to-toe Chanel, Margot Robbie was an early arrival on the very empty red carpet, posing in an off-the-shoulder floral-print outfit with a leather belt.
She teamed the sleek look from the French fashion house – for which she is an ambassador – with a bold red lip and her hair in loose beachy waves.
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are hosting the awards, which start at midday AEDT on Foxtel’s Arena channel.
Also sharing a glimpse of her Golden Globes outfit was Modern Family’s Sarah Hyland, wearing red, and The Flight Attendant’s Audrey Grace Marshall, in pink.
Australian actress Isla Fisher also wore pink as she attended the awards from home with husband Sacha Baron Cohen.
Nicole Kidman was also on the couch with her family, including husband Keith Urban, and their children Faith and Sunday.
Jackson Lee and Satchel Lee, whose father is director Spike Lee, were early standouts as they posed on the red carpet ahead of their roles as Golden Globes ambassadors (each year, the Hollywood Foreign Press enlists celebrities’ kids for the role).
The Flight Attendant star Kaley Cuoco shared her pre-Globes beauty routine, using an LED mask device by Current Body, before revealing her finished look – a Stuart Weitzman gown, which would not have looked out of place in Frozen.
January Jones also stunned fans when she put on a dress she wore in 2011 to the event without hair and makeup done.
