Gigi Hadid did a cringe-worthy Melania Trump impersonation at the AMAs

IT TOOK just minutes for the AMAs to turn cringeworthy, as Gigi Hadid did an awful Melania Trump impersonation.

IT TOOK less than 10 minutes for the American Music Awards to have its first cringe-worthy moment.

After the show opened with a performance from Bruno Mars, hosts Gigi Hadid and Jay Pharoah attempted to impersonate President-elect Donald Trump and his wife, Melania.

Now for those of you who don’t know Pharoah, he’s a Saturday Night Live cast member who is famous for doing impressions.

But Hadid, well, she’s most definitely not.

With a heavy pout and a truly terrible accent, Hadid seemingly tried to poke fun at how Melania Trump famously copied some of Michelle Obama’s speech during the Republican National Convention in July.

“I love my husband, President Barack Obama and our children Sasha and Malia,” Hadid said, impersonating Melania Trump.

“You’re spot on!” yelled Hadid’s co-host.

But the internet disagreed:
