The theatre event of a generation is about to take flight as the giant nest is completed on the roof of the Princess Theatre.
The sculpture for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child of a winged nest holding a small child is 2.5m high and 4m wide.
Marriner Group owner Jason Marriner said there have also been $6.5 million of capital works to the Princess to accommodate the show.

It’s the first time in the theatre’s 132-year history that the facade has been renovated.
“This is a once in a generation show, similar to The Phantom of the Opera was when it opened in 1989, and it’s a unique theatrical event,” Mr Marriner said.
“We have every confidence it will be here for a very long time and we had to make sure the theatre would be equal to the production and compliment it perfectly.”
The entire facade of the theatre has been renovated, there is new seating, carpeting, airconditioning and there are dragon light fittings on the marquee to represent each of the Harry Potter houses.
“We’re confident that the production at the Princess will be as good as what you will see in London or New York,” he said.
Tickets are now on sale until December 2019.
