Troubled former TV star Andrew O’Keefe is set to face court again after being charged with driving with an illicit drug in his system.
The former Weekend Sunrise host is listed to face Waverley Local Court on January 20 on one count of the charge.
It continues the public fall from grace for the 53-year-old and comes just months after a magistrate told the former Deal or No Deal host that he was on the brink of being sent to jail.
That came in October when he was sentenced after pleading guilty to trespassing, breaching an AVO and possessing a prohibited drug.
Magistrate Jacqueline Milledge told the fallen host: “’I can assure you the next step is jail. I’m not just saying that, I absolutely mean it.”
She sentenced O’Keefe to a 30-month community corrections order, contingent on him engaging with rehab.
He was also ordered to pay a $2000 fine and was suspended from driving for three months.
A further $500 fine was ordered in relation to the trespass.
