The Basin Primary School has topped the list of booming outer-eastern Melbourne schools.
An analysis of Federal Government data has revealed the outer-eastern Melbourne region schools where student numbers have risen the most in the past five years.
Between 2013 and 2018, enrolment at The Basin Primary School increased by 71.3 per cent, faster than any other school in the region.
The Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority figures are the most up to date enrolment numbers that include all state and private schools nationally.
According to the latest public data that includes public and private schools, student numbers have grown from 322 to 552, the fastest growth in the region.
The second fastest growing school was Eastwood Primary School, where the student body increased by 64.7 between 2013 and 2018.
Over those five years Woori Yallock Primary School had the third biggest enrolment boom in the area 110 more students at the school in 2018 than in 2013 — a 62.1 per cent increase.

The Basin Primary School assistant principal Donna Krenn said the school had a great reputation in the community, due to its “excellent” teachers and programs.
The school has 571 students this year and anticipate that growing to about 600 students next year. The school is set on 14 acres and has a real country feel, Ms Krenn said.
“We’ve got plenty of room we’re a real country school, we’re really community minded, we have a lovely new gym and we are the home for the Basin Wildcats basketball team, (who train at the gym),” she said.
“We also have the Basin Community House on our property, we’re very involved in our local community.
“It’s a wonderful school, it’s a lovely school full of lovely people.”
