School income: Regional Victoria’s school earnings revealed
The schools in regional Victoria that earn the most and charge the most have been revealed, and that famous one with royal connections doesn’t top the list.

REGIONAL Victoria’s highest-earning school recorded an income of more than $158.6 million in three years — and it isn’t Geelong Grammar.
An independent analysis of school financial records from the MySchool website revealed Beaconhills College in Pakenham had a higher gross income than any other school across regional Victoria.
The school had a gross income of $158.6 million, according to financial records from the three most recently available years, 2015-17.
Beaconhills is an independent school established in 1982. It had an enrolment of 2902 students from Prep to Year 12 in 2017.
Its income tops leading independent school Geelong Grammar, which earned $115.7 million over the same period and The Geelong College at $114.3 million.
GEELONG’S RICHEST AND POOREST SCHOOLS REVEALED IN MYSCHOOL DATA
The second highest earning school in country Victoria was St Francis Xavier College, in Beaconsfield, which had a gross income of $137.4 million.
Bacchus Marsh Grammar, in Pakenham, earnt $100.2 million.
The figures include all tuition fees, charges and other parental contributions as well as State and Federal Government funding and any other private sources over the 2015, 2016 and 2017 years.
It does not include boarding fees or any deductions for capital works or debt servicing. The analysis does not include special schools or schools that did not have complete financial data in MySchool for one or more of 2015, 2016 or 2017.
Noorinbee Primary School, in far East Gippsland, had the lowest gross income of any school in regional Victoria. It recorded income of just $380,752 over the three-year period, but had just one student in 2017 and averaged $41,025 per student over the three years.

The Kilmore International School was the school in regional Victoria where the average amount parents spent in fees, charges and contributions in 2017 was the highest, at $21,661. When compared with Geelong schools, just The Geelong College trumps this amount, with parents paying an average of $22,648 per student in fees, excluding boarding.
Geelong Grammar parents paid an average of $20,871 per student in 2017, ranking it third most expensive.
Woodleigh School, in Langwarrin South, cost parents $20,784 per student on average, while St Margaret’s School, in Berwick, cost parents $18,717 per student.
