A Gippsland primary school teacher has pleaded guilty to child sex offences spanning three years — but nine further charges have been struck out against him.

A Gippsland primary school teacher Craig Liefting has pleaded guilty to child sex offences spanning three years.
The 48-year-old was committed on three charges of an indecent act with a child under 16 in the Latrobe Valley Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
Liefting, from Inverloch, entered a plea of guilty on charges including intentionally causing or allowing a child to sexually touch him in 2013, the same offence committed over three months in 2014, and of intentionally sexually touching a child in 2016.
A further nine charges against a child under 16, including seven counts of an indecent act, one of grooming and one of sexual penetration were struck out.
Liefting has been directed to the Latrobe Valley County Court for a guilty plea on April 20.
