Victoria records 56th day of no community transmission

Victorians have woken up to a Christmas miracle, with no new cases of coronavirus recorded in the community nor in returned travellers.

Victoria recorded zero new coronavirus cases overnight but the state has 10 active cases in quarantine.

It marks the 56th day without community transmission of coronavirus in Victoria.

A total of 11,367 test results were received overnight.

The NSW Premier announced seven new cases linked to Sydney’s Northern Beaches cluster.

Six of those cases are already in isolation, and the seventh is in person who works in Sydney’s Northern Beaches area.
