The restrictions set to change in regional Victoria
People living in regional Victoria are about to be set free from weeks of harsh lockdown. Here’s what you will be able to do in regional Victoria from midnight on Wednesday.

Regional Victoria will finally get some relief from lockdown from 11:59pm on Wednesday.
Why has this happened?
Because regional Victoria has recorded five or less cases on average over the last 14 days and none with an unknown source.
For what reasons will I be able to leave the house in regional Victoria?
There will be no restrictions on why you can leave your house.
Can I meet anyone outside for social interaction?
Yes. You can meet with 10 other people outside.
Can I have anyone over to my house?
You can set up a household bubble with one nominated household allowing up to five visitors from that house, with children under 1 not included in the count.
Can I go to a restaurant, pub or cafe?
Yes. Restaurants and pubs can serve people outdoors, with a cap of 50 seated people, and a “two square metre” density limit.
Indoors, restaurants and pubs can open with a cap of 20 seated customers, spread across two spaces, with a “four square metre” density limit in place.
Tables must be spaced 1.5m apart, cleaned after every seating and the details of all customers must be kept.
Will there be changes for sport and recreation?
Yes. Outdoor contact sport and non-contact sport can resume for under 18s, as well as outdoor non-contact sport for adults.
Will there be changes to shopping, retail and personal services?
All retail is open. Beauty and personal care services will resume with face coverings mandatory.
Can I go to work?
You must continue to work from home if you can.
Can my kids go back to school?
Soon. There will be a staged return to onsite learning in the first two weeks of term four.
Will there be changes to ceremonies?
Weddings must only have 10 attendees including witnesses and celebrant.
Funerals are allowed with up to 20 people (with infants under 1 year of age not counting toward this attendance cap), plus those conducting the funeral (unless held at a private residence – only household members may attend). Outdoor religious gatherings allowed for us to 10 people.
What about auctions?
Auctions can take place outdoor with up to 10 people.
Can I travel?
Travel can resume for regional Victorians holidaying anywhere else in regional Victoria.
