Coronavirus: Here's what to do while you’re bored in isolation

Melbourne musician Didirri has made the most of isolation – he’s released a new single, Don’t Fight With What You’re Fighting For, taken part in virtual gigs and gone live on his own Instagram.
Here’s what he’s been listening to as he passes the time.

This is the perfect blend of existentialism and inward reflection for isolation. I am constantly rediscovering this album. Incredible lyricism topped with perfect arrangement and performance. I remember hearing this for the first time. It filled a place in my identity instantly. I find it incredible that an album can become part of your personality, part of your musicality and part of your creative identity even though you had nothing to do with its conception. I consider this album to be a modern masterpiece.

This is possibly my greatest influence. This album has the feeling of being created with in isolation which comes under new appreciation right now for me. Recorded to cassette tape in hotels across America this album is a perfect demonstration of restraint. Unparalleled story-telling that I’ve been trying to dig further in further into over the years. Beautiful, personal and honest tales weaved with quirky odd instrumentals. I will be forever in love with this album especially when locked away in my room.

This is a surprise smash of a thing. Bold from the very first note. Definitely not a timid approach to an opening track. Cryptic and phenomenally written lyrics that leave so much to be explored, this album took me by surprise even on the second lesson which not many albums do. Rich, full and breathy I am transported somewhere between the ‘80s and Mars every time I listen to this collection of stunning tracks.
