Covid vaccine side effects being reported

From a sore arm to bigger boobs, vaccinated people are reporting a mixture of side effects from the Covid jab.

Australian Academy of Science: COVID-19 vaccine risks and benefits

From a sore arm and weak muscles to bad dreams, people that have received the Covid jab are reporting a mixture of side effects.

As with the flu vaccine, pain, redness and swellness are common on the arm after the Covid shot.

Tiredness, headache, muscle pain, chills, fever and nausea to the rest of the body are also familiar reactions.

But unlike the well- known issue of blood clots, some of these reported side effects are lesser known and experienced.

SWOLLEN LYMPH NODES

Carrie Bickmore revealed she found a harmless lump on her breast after getting Pfizer

Following reports women who had the Pfizer jab claimed their breasts have since grown due to swollen lymph nodes, Bickmore on Monday said: “This is exactly what happened, and I will admit I clicked on the clickbait today because mine didn’t go up a size, but I was thinking when I was in the shower, after I got my Pfizer, I noticed a lump, and I thought that’s weird, I will keep an eye on that”.

She continued: “I texted a girlfriend who had the jab around the same time as me the next day and asked how she was feeling, she said “fine, but my lymph nodes are up under my arms’ and I was like ‘of course, that’s what it is”.

According to the Australian Department of Health enlarged lymph nodes are a less common side effect of the Covid-19 vaccine.

“These side effects are usually mild and usually go away within one or two days. Some recipients will experience more significant flu-like symptoms from this vaccination compared to other common vaccinations and may require time away from normal activities. These symptoms may occur after either dose but are more common after the second dose.”

VIVID DREAMS

Bickmore’s co-host on The Project Steve Price said he experienced bad dreams after his Covid jab.

“You get bigger boobs and I get bad dreams from the second jab of AstraZeneca,” Price told Bickmore.

It’s a side-effect that has been raised by others during online discussions.

It could be chance or simply a result of tiredness caused by the vaccine.

Other medications, including antidepressants, blood pressure medication and options to stop smoking, have been linked to powerful dreaming.

STRUGGLING TO WALK

Some people have reported muscle-weakening after the Covid jab.

Videos posted online show people suffering leg spasms after their jab.

Georgia-Rose Segal, 34, from London, nearly collapsed on her kitchen floor after her second Pfizer jab.

She said she had been diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), a condition which affects how the brain sends signals to the body.

According to scientists, the symptoms are not directly caused by Covid vaccines.

FND can be triggered by a range of physical or emotional events, including a head injury, surgery or a jab, according to scientists writing in the medical journal JAMA Neurology Viewpoint.

Covid ARM

Large, red, sometimes raised, itchy or painful skin reactions could be a side effect of the Covid jab.

Researchers at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) found that Phase 3 clinical data from the Moderna trial shows “delayed skin hypersensitivity” in a small number of more than 30,000 participants.

In clinical observations of 12 patients with Covid arm, the side effect appeared between four- and 11-days post-vaccination and lasted about eight days.

“For most people who are experiencing this, we believe it’s tied to the body’s immune system going to work,” said Esther Freeman, director of Global Health Dermatology at the Massachusetts General Hospital.

CHANGES IN PERIODS

Women have complained of intense cramps and heavier period post-jab.

It’s not unusual to see changes in people after the flu or HPV vaccines.

“The current evidence does not suggest an increased risk of either menstrual disorders or unexpected vaginal bleeding following the vaccines,” says the UK Medicines & Healthcare products Regulatory Agency in its July 14 report.
